Building has that "well lived in" look, but was clean and VERY busy with motorcyclists. Seating was limited, and mobbed, so we sat outside. Plenty of outside seating, covered and uncovered, and service was predictably slow but reasonable considering the amount of people. Food took 30 minutes to deliver and the burger was juicy and all the toppings were very fresh. French fries were crispy and not soggy and the Buffalo Wings had separate sauce to accomodate everyone. The sauce was medium hot and vinegar based. Total for burger, drink and large "Wing Dings" was $20. Good place to drop in after a ride around the Mountain, but not recommended for families and young children due to the clientele.

You can choose your atmosphere when you walk in the door. Immediately to the left lies the over-21 area, with a couple of 4-person booths and a bar. The rustic walls in the bar are paved with dollar bills bearing signatures and sayings. Borrow a marker pen, scrawl your name or whatever else comes to mind, and staple it to the wall to admire - or cringe over - on future visits.

Food can be ordered and eaten in the bar, or in the main dining area, which is roomier, child-friendly and bright, with more booths and several tables. On chilly days, a woodstove toward the back warms the atmosphere. This is a backwoods eatery, so the taxidermied elements of decor should neither disturb your appetite, nor come as a surprise!

You can order a steak dinner or halibut fish & chips, and the food is good for an eatery in the middle of nowhere. Burgers are delicious and sloppy with fixings, so eat quickly while everything still holds together. Home made kettle chips are standard with baskets, but may be replaced with french fries, if preferred. Portions are adequate, prices are reasonable. Saturdays are prime rib night at certain times of the year. This is a favorite with locals, so arrive early to ensure availability. The atmosphere can get a little hectic when the place is packed on a busy summer afternoon/evening. In front of the building are picnic tables for outdoor dining in dry weather, and a tarp-covered smoking area to the side for patrons in need of nicotine.

A regular stop for travelers cruising the scenic route between Cougar and Carson, and one of only two eateries in town, the B&G has undergone extensive remodeling by the current owners, and is shaping up to be a pretty cool place to stop for a drink, and/or a meal. If you're interested in catching the highlights of the game during your dining experience and are seated indoors, at least one of the many wall-mounted flat screen TV's is sure to be in view.
