At first look it is an old countryside convenience store with a few gas pumps, but there is more than meets the eye. If you are looking for a great local hangout and want to try some local brew and a burger, this is it! They often have live music, trivia nights, or sometimes just a game on the flat screen.
It is a cozy and rustic place, If you're looking for fine dining and cloth napkins, then try elsewhere. If you're just passing through, then you can get a couple of burgers and cans or bottles to go. However, if you want to truly hangout and talk with locals, then order a burger from the cash register and head to the room out back.
The food menu is fairly simple, no extras like fries. The burgers are the best, and sandwiches are good too. Everything is loaded with all the fixings, not too greasy, and made to order. I've been to other burger places on Whidbey and this is the best hamburger, hands down! Well worth the 4-1/2 mile trip down Cultus Bay Road.
