Our stay was just after the Thanksgiving Holiday. My sister in law and I were looking for a beach cottage on the water for a much needed girls get away and this home was just right. We were pleased from the moment we walked in the door. The views of the water were incredible throughout the house and there was a Christmas tree lit to welcome us! New, comfortable furniture in the living room was just right for us to cozy up on with a glass of wine by the fire. Though you can't burn wood, those Duraflame logs are pretty darn nice as an alternative! The kitchen was surprisingly equipped with quality pots, pans, knives and high end appliances. Any cook would appreciate the opportunity to use that Wolf range. We were also happy to see the cupboards stocked with spices, sugar coffee etc. as I had forgotten to bring coffee. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom downstairs. We slept well with the comfortable mattresses, pillows and linens. Both bathrooms are downstairs, one is a full bath, the other is a half bath off the downstairs bedroom. It is important to note that the stairs to the upper bedrooms are steep and may be challenging for some to navigate. There is a full laundry room, which we did I not use. The beach is literally just steps out the back door leading to a level, sandy beach perfect for strolling for shells and rocks. It was cool when we stayed so we did not have an opportunity to enjoy opening the outdoor room and backyard but what an added living space to this home when the weather is warm! I imagine there are some amazing sunsets also. There is a grocery store just a few miles away and Joe's Woodfire Pizza has some delicious takeout food. I am hoping to return again and explore Deer Lagoon just across the road. We highly recommend this home.
