To start with we were charged $10 more than quoted on the phone, then we get to the room and it is not the room we booked, the reception staff who booked told me we were in the 'execultive deluxe suite' and even got me to go to the webpage to see, but instead we were put in the queen deluxe suite. The room was tired, dirty and dusty with broken blinds, sagging bed, stained menu/hotel guide and a fridge so hot the shelf above was warm enough to melt chocolate. We had room service for dinner, BAD IDEA, was cold and soggy, the order was missing componants and we were charged more than the menu price, when I contacted the kitchen about the additional cost they said it was due to it being mother's day!! And they would refund the extra, however in the morning when paid bill this was not organised. I informed the receptional staff of my complaints during check-out and was advised that the extra money would be reimbursed, and the manager would contact me via phone to discuss my complaints. Well that was weeks ago and so far have not heard from the manager nor was the extra money reimburded!! Won't go there again or recommend to anyone, disappointing!!

The hotel is located conveniently on one of the main roads in Adelaide, close to the city, and yet away from the city. Stayed for 2 nights for $75 per night, which was quite reasonable. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Enjoyed the large flat screen TV; the size of the bathroom was also satisfactory.

Except for the TV, everything else in my room was pretty old: furniture, fridge etc. The lack of WiFi was a real downer. There was so-called 'free' Internet in the lobby area, but all you would get was 15 minutes / 10 MB, which is completely useless. After the 15 min period they wanted to charge AUD 40/day or AUD 2.50/30mins.In most hotels in Asia and USA complementary WiFi is the standard.

You will be please to know that we have commenced renovating all our Standard rooms - but we might not be able to afford to reduce the rate to $75!!!

Bit out of city center, but easy to find. Large complex with many pokie machines and live music.
Had room 404 was very quiet and clean. Probably been refurbished over the last few years. Large LCD TV wall mounted easy to operate remote!!
Reception bit hard to find.
Next to a small shopping center with Woolworths. A few other food outlets in walking distance.
Paid $69/night Bookings.com special. Will stay again if below $110/night.

Room Tip: Could be noisy with advertised frequent live music. Some rooms on 1st floor - same as entertainment, could be noisy particularly weekends.

Thank you for your review - We are currently renovating all our standard rooms - will be completed late this year. We might not be able to do the $69 deals again - I am sorry
Top of the Ark is a large function room and has occasional live bands - we do have security to manage any car park noise - We very rarely have complaints
We have changed our Tavern Bar entertainment to a Piano Bar with a fine wine offer and our all new Sportys Bar has live sport and entertainment.
I believe we are the best hotel in South Australia - I might be biased!!!

Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful.
The down side--(this might be true of many hotels in australia) the internet is expensive. Also it counts Mega bites used. My account used about 200 mega whilst the computer was unplugged at night,
Also a fridge in the room (a de luxe room) would have been a help.
All in all though a nice hotel
