The hotel is extremely quiet, safe, clean, the restaurant provides good food (including free breakfast of your choice) and the location is outstanding. This is the second year in a row that we stayed at this hotel. We travel with our dogs and this time we had acces to a dog friendly suite on the first floor which was extremely comfortable, spacious and conveniently located to air the dogs. The hotel is located next to a walking trail that goes for miles along the Snake River. Nature lovers will be impressed. Costco, Albertson's and a series of other stores are also conveniently located minutes from the hotel. My husband and I wish to make Clarkston and Lewiston our yearly Fall destination for bird watching and the Quality Inn Convention Center has a lot to do with our decision. Excellent value and extremely pleasant and restfull stay. We will be back.

Room Tip: The side of the hotel facing the river is best. Probably quietest away from the convention centre.

Was in town for a wedding, and this hotel totally fit the bill. Nothing fancy, but nice view of the river, pet-friendly (with a $10 fee) and included an awesome breakfast - not a standard continental breakfast, but you get to order from the regular restaurant menu. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Very good choice for a stay in Clarkston/Lewiston. We spent four nights there this September and have no complaints. We had a very nice room with a balcony and a great view. The bed was extremely comfortable, the room clean and very quiet. Very good breakfast.

We have stayed there several times over the past few years. Always nice and clean. Friendly staff. This last visit was in September 2012. We had picked a Wednesday to visit the area thinking we wouldn't have a problem getting a room. However, there were several things going on locally and they were booked except for the suites. What the heck - decided to stay in a suite for a change. Wonderful, we were really pleased with the room and are now thinking we might stay in the suites more often. One thing I would like to say is when we checked in they gave us vouchers for a free breakfast the next morning, so if you figure the cost of the breakfast the room cost wasn't a whole lot more than a regular room. The Inn has a swimming pool and exercise room, banquet rooms, and many other amenities. Northside rooms have a view of the Snake River. This is a high quality place to stay…

We stayed 2 nights for the Cougar Football Game and had a very nice stay. This place is modern, kept up and well-appointed. Rooms are nice, but the beds are too hard for my liking. Our room had a microwave, fridge and flatscreen LG TV. TV Reception is good and it has a lot of channels. Bath has hair dryer and coffeemaker. Breakfast at the restraunt is included, and this really adds to the value. Food is good. It's only a 40 minute drive to Pullman for the game. The AC in our room had trouble keeping the room cool, but that was my only concern. $104/night for two people, two queens, non-smoking. Staff is very friendly, and Houskeeping keeps the rooms IMMACULATE. I'll stay here again.

The Quality Inn in Clarkston has one of the best locations of all of the hotels/motels in the Lewis-Clark Valley. It's almost right on the Snake River with a small driving range between it and the water. The Levee trail system that runs along the river for miles is only a short walk away along a paved path.

Our room was clean, the decor was typical but tastefully done, the view was nice, probably nicer than most hotels in that area since there was no road between the hotel and the water. My daughter and I stayed in a room with 2 queen beds on the third floor with a river view. There are no balconies for double rooms like ours on the 3rd floor on the river side...only on the street side. That was the one thing we felt lacking. The walls could be better sound proofed; we could hear the television next door when we went to bed although it was somewhat muffled. I'm glad we stayed on the 3rd (top) floor just to limit noise. The bathroom needed a bit better ventilation--it took a while for the condensation to clear on the bathroom mirror even though the fan was on any time the light switch was on. The motel has an exercise room on the bottom floor (on level with the river) with some top quality equipment...recumbent bicycle, treadmill, weight machine (a nice one), and elliptical machine. The breakfast was better than average...buffet style with scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, bacon, pancakes and syrup, bagels, fresh fruit, muffins, cold cereal, etc. When we checked in, we received vouchers for breakfast which I then presented (just dropped in a basket on the buffet table) for breakfast the next morning. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, allowing me to take our breakfasts back to our room since we were in a hurry and my daughter had an ankle injury causing her to move more slowly. The Sternwheeler, a paddlewheel river boat in the old style, which comes up the Snake River from Portland, docks every couple of weeks right across from the hotel and the patrons of the Sternwheeler stay at the Quality Inn. (It was kinda fun seeing that docked on the river the night we arrived.)

People have mentioned the fumes from the paper mill up river. You'll smell that anywhere you stay in town. It blankets the valley at various times and days. The only place it isn't is in the higher elevation Orchards, but then you don't have ready access to the river. Those of us who make frequent trips to the Lewiston-Clarkston area are somewhat used to it. The Quality Inn is further down river than an other motel in the area so the fumes weren't nearly as bad as they might have been at the other motels/hotels. If we ever need to stay in the LC Valley again, we will definitely stay at the Quality Inn.

Room Tip: 3rd floor, river side for the view; 3rd floor street side if you want a balcony and don't mind l...

We stayed here August 18th and19th, 2012, and took Beamer's Hell's Canyon Adventure. We were pleased to find that we could literally walk out the back door of the hotel, down a ramp, and we were on the boat. This hotel is a great location for anyone booking that tour company. The hotel is right on the river, so nice views. The included breakfast (your choice of entree from the regular dining room menu) was one of the best I've ever had. Did I mention fresh cookies in the evening? We would defininitely stay here again.

Room Tip: River view!
