Owner description: Discover the history of Cheney and southwest Spokane County in a small, intimate, museum where the volunteers are happy to chat with you about things past and present. There are maps, photographs, and scrapbooks to help researchers. The museum is open Thurs-Sat from May through September 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Fridays from October through April 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The staff is happy to open for you at other times. Really!

They have moved to a new location on First St. which is easier to find. The museum was open during the annual Cheney Rodeo & Parade weekend which was handy as we were already downtown. I always enjoy learning about local history and they had quite a few artifacts that did give a glimpse into Cheney's past.

I love all the old Native American relics, and the temporary exhibits that are arranged.
