This is a very nice property with quality staff, very large/comfortable rooms, a great view of the lake, and generous breakfast. Everything in the room was in good working order. In particular, the room had an abundance of light--both natural and artificial--and nothing was broken or dirty. No problem finding parking near the room and easy check-in/check-out.

Room Tip: Rooms facing north were the largest.

We just returned from a 4 night stay in Chelan. We were there for my son's wedding and we had 45 guests including friends and family staying at the Lakeside Lodge and Suites. All of us were pleased with the room size and cleanliness. The view was awesome and all the rooms were close to the lake and park where we met up each day. We had several unusual requests and the front desk staff (Julian in particular) went out of his way to help us - including setting up tables and chairs on the front lawn for our entire group to enjoy dinner by the lake. He gave excellent customer service and we will definitely be coming back.

We arrived expecting to wait for check in at the beach and park when there was a sudden downpour of rain. (It was 11 check in was 4.) The staff was so friendly they got us a room (upgraded with kitchenette, two flat screens and view of the lake) just so we could be out of the rain and the owner offered to drive us to our room (which was on the other side of the property) so me and my kids would have to walk in the rain! He even helped up carry our luggage up the stairs (four bags and a stroller) and wouldn't even take a tip! I was stunned how caring everyone was and they didn't even take a second to think about it they just helped! The amenities are great (two pools, place is right on the water, nice beach, playground, volleyball, basketball, walk to subway resturant). Wonderful place, clean, friendly, so glad the other hotel we thought we wanted was booked because this place is great! We will defiantly be coming back and recommending it to our friends and family!

We needed a place to stay for 2 nights while visiting friends that lived near Chelan. I picked this hotel based on online info and partly because it was only a couple of miles to downtown. Our check-in experience was pleasant and you could help yourself to cookies at the counter. We were able to park in front of our room to unload. Our room was large, well appointed, and spotless. I booked a ground floor unit with a view. A glass door allowed us to see and go outside facing the lake and we could sit on a private pad in plastic bucket chairs. Our room was cooled by a window type air-conditioner that worked well and wasn't too noisy. The only negative thing that I can say about the hotel is that a street with parking runs around it with a large public park that sits between the street and lake. During the day the park was busy with people but it wasn't overly noisy or a nuisance. Sitting outside our room we did have to look over the street and parking which while not bad wasn't like being right on the lake! Our rate included breakfast which is provided in a large room with some limited outdoor seating on the 4th floor. Breakfast is adequate with the highlight being able to make your own waffle! We enjoyed our stay and I would recommend the lodge, particularly if you have children because then the adjacent park could be a huge benefit. The afternoon we arrived, my wife relaxed in our air-conditioned room while I took a beach chair that I'd brought and walked down to the lake and enjoyed the 95 degree heat and lake view as I relaxed on the shore after having driven for over 3 hours from the Seattle area.

Last minute vacation route had us contacting this hotel twice to verify if they had a vacancy and what their room rate would be and there was a difference of $30 from the nite desk to the morning desk. We booked our room site unseen and were very happy to arrive and discover this beautiful property. All the staff I had the opportunity to interact with were all professional, friendly, welcoming and helpful. As we were only there one night - we didn't get a chance to utilize the pools, bbq's, etc but we loved the room, the location - we will definitely stay at this resort again in the future.

Room Tip: We were in a 2nd floor room overlooking the pool/park/lake.

We have been here for 5 days, staying with our 2 kids in one of the family suites.
The strong points: 1) nice location on the park with lake views and easy lake swimming access, though you must drive to nicer restaurants (there is a Subway around the corner); 2) they have family suites available with a kitchenette that is well supplied, good size refrigerator, etc. plus there are outdoor gas BBQs you can use; 3) two nice pools - one outdoor, one heated indoor, with towels at the pool; 4) TVs in both the front room and bedroom.

The downsides: 1) WiFi often isn't working reliably and signal is very weak; 2) we were woken up every morning at 6:30am by the people above our room walking around - the ceilings creak badly and there is little to no sound insulation; 3) the kitchen equipment looks like they haven't been updated in at least 20 years, and while the furniture is in OK shape, the couch and seat don't even match, and look like they came from my grandmother's house. 4) the towels in our room were small and uncomfortable. 5) the free breakfast was very low quality other than the make-your-own waffles; we skipped that after the first day.

Overall, this wasn't a great value for $240 per night + tax. We can see why it was still available when we were booking a last minute August trip to Chelan.

Room Tip: Perhaps avoid the ceiling noise creaking by staying on the top floor

Spent five days in here earlier this summer and we had a great time. Clean contemporary great pools and right next to one beautiful city park.
Able to cook a meal in here with the micro wave oven and cooking utensils and mini fridge.
The view from our balcony was inspiring and from the breakfast balcony simply breath taking. Perfect for the family and a summer.
