Reception area is cozy, neat and well organized.
Receptionist is very helpful and accomodating.
The rooms were clean and most of all affordable.
The restaurant beside it is also a plus (although I haven't tried it)
I am a very satisfied and happy customer. I am sure going to stay here again.

I stopped there late one night while passing by on I5. I was really surprised at how clean, new, and upscale the room looked for a budget hotel -- much better than expected! In the morning, I walked across the way to local businesses and on the return I really noticed their awesome landscaping. Beautiful hanging flower baskets, very nice lawn and fence, with awesome flower beds. It reminded me of small places in Switzerland and Germany. I went in and asked the proprietor who did their landscaping and he said he did. I also asked if the place had been recently refurbished and he said not really, they simply keep it exceptionally clean.

I wholeheartedly congratulated him and I have since been recommending that as a stopover to friends driving by there.

Once down the road, I regretted not haven taken pictures of the landscaping. I would have turned back the 60 miles to do so, but I was towing a heavy trailer and had a two day return trip ahead of me.

I read the previous review written in July and have to say we had the complete opposite of experiences! I found the owner to be quite nice, although it seemed busy and he was noticeably feeling it, but the city was having an event and everyone seemed to want to check ing early. Our room was very clean, looked just like the pics. Only recomendations are that the shower curtain could have used cleaning, and the bed was uncomfortable (but a good bed is hard to find in a hotel no matter the $$), and one of the blankets had a hole in it. The price was right, the place was clean, and quiet. We would recomend this to others. Again, if you are looking for a quick stop, at an inexpensive rate, this is the place.
Note: If you have children and are stopping by in the summer, there is a small park, with outdoor community pool and outside water area, just across the street!!

Avoid this motel at all costs. There are other motels very close i.e. Best Western, Chehalis Inn which are much nicer and owned by true professionals. Unauthorized charges were made to credit card hours after leaving. Upon questioning the charges, the owner became very irrational and began using foul language, swearing, name calling (including the "f" word.....numerous times) which led to harrassment on his part. Credit card was actually cancelled by bank due to lack of trust and reputation of these people. Would not feel safe staying here ever again.

After spending 12 hours on the Cowlitz River just south of chehalis, not to mention the 3 1/2 hour drive that morning, we were completely exhausted and looking for a place to stay. Normally we stay at a little mom and pop place off of highway 12 in salkum due to it being close to the river. Unfortunately they were booked solid. I did a quick search from my phone and found several hotels off the freeway a couple exits north. We were pulling a boat, and rv/boat/trailer parking was non existent at the best western or the chehalis inn. I noticed the patios with hanging pots and the clean exterior at relax inn and decided to check it out. We inquired about a room and she listed the options. $69 for a king bed with a roll away bed also. Perfect! Not to mention our fishing partner who happens to be a yellow lab was also welcome for an additional $10. The room was spacious, the A/C worked excellent, the king bed was super comfy, and the bathroom was nice with a large shower. We flipped a coin for the big bed and i ended up sleeping on the roll away. It was better than expected, springs were a little soft for a big guy like me but i slept great.

We arrived after a long day and found this cute one story hotel with lovely hanging baskets everywhere. We figured it had to be clean since the owner took such care with the outside. The hotel is older but remodeled. The room was clean and the bathroom had a great shower. The room included a refrig and a microwave and cost us 95 dollars for a Friday night in July ( a little expensive but this was last minute).

The room had a cute balcony with 2 chairs that overlooked a busy intersection. The managers were a lovely older couple and they take good care of the place.

The bedding was decent. This hotel is worth a mention if you are looking in this area. It has a restaurant right next door that is decent, and it is cleaner than many. They also have a continental breakfast and free wireless. Not a bad deal in the long run -- oh, there is no pool, etc.

  • Liked — clean large room -- hanging baskets
  • Disliked — road noise
