Was in Adelaide for an exhibition so 3 of us stay in 2 rooms over 4 nights. Staff were fantastic and were able to accomodate our request for rooms near each other (happened to be side by side). Rooms were very clean and tidy and it was obvious they had been re-furbished recently. Beds were comfortable and although we didn't eat in the restaurant the range of options on Portrush Rd within a couple of min walk is fantastic. We tried the Thai across the road and the seafood and pizza on the right when you walk out of the property.

The only slight drawback was the TV reception in one room wouldn't pick up some channels but my room was fine. This wasn't a massive issue either as we were out all day and for a clean and comfortable place to stay this has my vote and will probably stay there again.

Spent one here and for less than $100 per night had a private room with ensuite. Room also included flat screen t.v. and some Foxtel, Ironing board, microwave, toaster, cutlery, plates, Queen bed and Single bed.
Also had a chance to meet the Manager who was very helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for a room towards the back as a lot of trucks passing at night.

stayed here for four nights recently. Had stayed here 20 years ago and was nervous the see the sate of the rooms. booked via the internet and got a great rate . The rooms have been recently refurbished and are very clean and have enough for a couple. Beds are very comfy and the towels soft and fluffy. The location is convenient for getting into the city or an early departure to drive interstate. Had a room at the back and didnt have any problems with road noise

Room Tip: ask for a room at the back

Cheap, clean and very convenient motel about 10-15 min from the Adelaide city center. The room had a desk and internet and we paid <$100/night. Kitchen and BBQ areas were also very tidy and clean and good restaurants are either across the road or ~10 min walk away (East Indian, etc). This was a great place and very quiet despite the fact that the motel is facing a major road. Coles (supermarket) is also only 7-10 min walking distance down the road (north). The restaurant in the complex has good old Aussie meals! Coffee shops and a liquor store (Dan Murphy) are within 100 m of the hotel.
The drive into town takes ~15min and to the airport ~25-30 min. Trips up to Hahndorf or the Cleland National Park are literally just down the road - super easy access from the hotel.

I've been searching for a hotel in Adelaide that is convenient, safe, clean with good facilities and most of all well priced. The Grenada covers it all. The rooms I have been in are called 'executive" and priced between $108 & $118 a night what a bargain. The rooms are spacious, have a desk to do some work, two side cupboards, a flat screen TV a lazy boy type of chair or lounge and tea and coffee facilities. The best convenience for me is the microwave oven. I find it very convenient to warm up my own food so I don't have to go out. The bathrooms are small but well fitted out and some have a spa bath. There is a small pool for the active ones, free car parking and even free wi fi. What more does one want when in Adelaide for work. I guess it is a few Ks from the city but the Burnside shopping village is nearby and they have their own restaurant (which I haven't tried yet). Some rooms are cheaper, so give it a go.
