We had to change our travel plans short notice due to our train leaving. We had booked at Travelodge one evening and then cancelled it the next morning and they charged us for the full night anyway. We asked them if they would reconsider or waive this, but they said no, that is their policy. I think a better policy would be to tell your customer when they book the room that if you cancel, you will be charged full price of the room. They did not inform us the cancellation policy, otherwise we could have tried to make different arrangements with our train tickets. I think it is poor customer service. Most places charge a fee for cancellation or just don't charge anything at all. Very disappointed to lose our $$$. Won't ever book with Travelodge again because they are not customer-friendy.
