“Great Place along I5”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

This hotel was reasonably priced along Highway I5. It was quiet, comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was what you would expect for a continental breakfast. I certainly would not hesitate to stay there again.

Spent a night here on the way to Oregon. Convenient to I5, outlet mall and restaurants. Room clean, A/C very noisy. Breakfast so-so and was disappointed to find no decaf coffee - was told there were not enough guests to bother! I feel that one guest wanting this would have been enough. (There was decaf in the room but once one has poured milk on one's cereal, it is not great to have to go back to the room to brew some)

Overall an adequate place to stay for a sleep.

By the way, had a great meal at Country Cousins at the next exit.

We found this on TA after leaving a very disappointing lodging experience in Seattle. It has been a refreshing respite after a long week! Impeccably clean, great comfy beds and Derek, at the front desk could not have been more accommodating! Fabulous price and worth every penny and then some!

Stopped here after visiting Mt. St. Helens. Easy on and off the freeway - Friendly staff, very clean room. Nothing great and nothing bad, We ate a yummy dinner at Country Cousins just down the next exit, highly suggest for a meal. If you need a clean place to stay at a good price this is it.

Room Tip: We faced the ambulance company which was distracting.

We were in Centralia, WA on business and our host reserved this Inn for us. We were a bit skeptical but when we arrived we found a newly remodeled, pristine room waiting for us. The front desk staff was wonderful and made every effort to make our stay pleasant. Even the "pizza place" across the driveway was a surprise. It had all sorts of different gelato, pizza, sandwiches and Italian dinners.

My husband and I, along with our two teenage sons, were in Centralia for a family reunion. We came in late the night before, and then stayed two more nights so we could drive up to Mount St. Helens before heading down to Long Beach for a few days. Our room was on the third floor, on the back side of the hotel away from any freeway noise. The room was extremely budget friendly and spotless! The front desk staff fully understands the concept of customer service, and everyone we encountered was incredibly nice. The location was great...we were just minutes on I-5 to the park where we met for the reunion, as well as a Safeway (with the BEST gas prices!!), fast food restaurants, and outlet shopping.

There were only a few small details that kept this property from being perfect. Apparently there are a few smoking rooms on the third floor. As our room was on the third floor, several times we were hit by the smell of cigarette smoke as we exited the elevators. In addition, since our room was at the end of the hallway, we had to walk past these rooms. In one case, it was so strong it choked me a little. That being said, our room did not smell of cigarette smoke at all! Another small issue was a lack of electrical outlets, especially near the bed. The room was set up kind of strange, with a large empty space in one corner. Once completely unused outlet was sort of out there in the middle of nothing, so we stacked our duffel bags, plugged in our phones, and set them on top of the bag tower to charge. Finally, we had packed our swimming suits with the plan to swim and sit in the whirlpool. Unfortunately, both were closed for the duration of our trip. That was kind of a big bummer, but for the price of the room, we got over it.

One thing to note: when we pulled off I-5 to the hotel, we were a little wary of the location. It looked a little scary (granted, it was nearly 1 am) and even our boys commented on it. Having had our van broken into at another property (in Sacramento, CA) we tend to be a bit paranoid about shifty neighborhoods. But I think the location of this hotel is almost safer than most because it's off the beaten path. The only other building in the immediate area is a gas station with a built in Subway. The gal at the front desk assured us they keep an eye on things (she even showed me the giant flashlight she takes with her to check the parking lot!) and that was the last time we worried about our van. It felt very secure.

Room Tip: Avoid the 3rd floor if you don't like smoke, and stay on the backside of the hotel to avoid any...
