My husband and I were married on April 27 at Carson Ridge. We're from Indiana, so planning a long-distance wedding could have been a lot of hassle and drama. Pete was an absolute dream to work with, however. He asked lots of questions to make sure our day and our stay was exactly how we wanted it. In fact, I think we may have been a little too low-maintenance for him!! :) We had a little bit of trouble finding the place-- the sign says "Carson Ridge Bed & Breakfast"-- but once we were there everything was perfect. Pete and Tom took good care of us, and the wedding itself went off without a hitch.

Everything about the cabin was luxurious. The bed was wonderful; super comfortable and a great place to watch the sun come up from (Pacific time takes some getting used to!). The dual-head shower and 2-person tub were also great! There was no wifi in the cabin, but we didn't necessarily want to be connected to the world anyway. Carson Ridge is hands-down the nicest place we've ever been to, and we can't wait to go back for an anniversary trip!!

The cabins here are REALLY comfortable, and private, and relaxing. The jetted tubs are a real plus, and the in-room snacks are a definite bonus! Breakfasts are delicious and the hosts are super friendly and accommodating. Plus this is a fantastic spot to use as a base camp for exploring the Gorge.

Even though the event was a celebration of my mother's birthday, the setting was perfect! Pete and John went out of their way to ensure that the weekend was wonderful. From the moment we enter into the driveway, we were struck by the gorgeous gardens. Next came the warm, homemade, chocolate chip/walnut cookies! It was a chilly afternoon, but our cabin warmed by the fireplace! John and Melissa provided the finest massages in the world! Breakfast arrived in a large basket, some of the most delicious muffins, fresh squeezed orange juice, and omelets (made to perfection). Every need was met all weekend long!!!! We are planning to make this an annual event.

In Carson WA. An unexpected bit of heaven not far from home. We drove out of the big city into a private little escape. Adorable little cabin with all the amenities in the wonderland of the gorge. We hiked, slept, ate, read, and thoroughly enjoyed this first class find. Breakfast brought to us in the morning in a picnic basket, hot and right out of the oven. Couldn't have asked for a better two day escape.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights at the end of March, and couldn't have been happier. Peter and Tom go out of their way to make you feel at home as soon as you arrive. We first entered the main building and were greeted with warm cookies fresh out of the oven. The place is small enough that Tom and Pete knew our names before we even introduced ourselves. Tom then walked us over to our cabin (the Salmon Berry). The cabin was really nice--rustic like a log-cabin and yet decadent and fully decadent. The TV could have been a little bigger; but we weren't really there to watch TV anyway.
In the morning, Tom brought a big basket of delicious breakfast items right to our door: individual omelet casseroles; warm berry cobbler; fresh orange juice; and fresh fruit. It was superb. In the evenings, the main cabin has a large selection of DVDs and games that you are free to borrow.
The location is great for hiking and taking in the sights. And our cabin had a book in it describing the best hikes in the gorge area which was really helpful as we drove around and took in the sights. Pete also made arrangements for us to go on a winetasting tour on the second day which was a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend this for those looking for a relaxing and quiet weekend (or longer) getaway.
