We've been to Harvest several times. My favorite was recently, when we were part of a private group. Chef Tim and his staff fed us plate after plate of interesting, seasonal, tasty dishes - family style. When the chef learned that one of the people at our table was a vegetarian, he also sent out special dishes, just for her. Even though we were all stuffed from the wonderful array of starters and main courses - we all managed to make space for the amazing desserts. I hope Chef Tim keeps the Banana Beignets with lavender Honey on the menu for a long time.

We are grateful to have such a fine quality restaurant in our little town!! Tim the Chef is amazing..he uses locally grown meat and produce and changes the menu seasonally..he surprised our party of 10 on our last birthday there with Bananas Foster that were out of this world! Long may they thrive!!

Went to Harvest tonight for the first time. What I had to eat was delish! Will be back to try again. The only downside that I found is there are not a lot of choices for a non meat eater or a picky meat eater. Everyone raved about the choices they had and we all left stuffed! Glad to have a good place to go locally.

The reviews on TripAdvisor don't quite match up with those on Yelp. Our experience was very disappointing.

On the plus side, the butternut squash soup was great and the one of the five other dishes ordered (pasta) was good. Unfortunately that is the extent of the upside.

Downside:

Service was poor. we were not told until we already had our appetizers that they were out of the special. Then rather than giving us a menu to choose what to replace it with the chef stands there waiting for us to decide (two of us had ordered the special) . Then it was, "Well, we're out of that, too." This seems to be a consistent problem at this restaurant from the reviews on Yelp. It was 6:30 on a Saturday and they were unable to serve three of the dishes on a very limited menu.

Add to that the Chef's attitude which was actually rude and close to insulting. He seemed to be pretty overwhelmed, but that is no excuse for rude behavior to patrons.

Most of the food was just, bad. The Portobello ratatouille (which was a last minute choice to replace the unavailable special) was absolutely inedible. The vegetables were large chucks that were so under cooked you'd have to use a steak knife to cut them and they were swimming in a tomato sauce that was overly sweet and tasted like it came out of a can. One lone slice of a Portobello mushroom was sitting on the top. No one at the table could eat the dish. It was just awful! The meatloaf which another reviewer had raved about was so overdone the bacon was burnt and the slices of meatloaf were close to flavorless. The potatoes with the meatloaf were fine, but the beans were cold.

We had to send the first bottle of wine back as it tasted terrible.

Let me say that throughout this very bad dining experience we were friendly and cordial to the staff and the chef. This does not seem to matter. No one bothered to check on us after the entree's were served so they had no idea that we were so displeased with the food. They did comp the ratatouille dish, but even then the waitress said "We took that off the bill, 'cause you didn't eat it." and the way she said it was so snide, as if it were our fault we did not eat it, that we all looked at each other.... And she added something to the effect of "We do things fair here". What? What you do in a restaurant is order food so that you can actually serve what is on the menu, then check back with your patrons to see if things are going well, maybe even more than once. Oh, and you also don't act in an insulting manner to people who are being very nice not to mention patronizing your restaurant.

Sorry that Camas does not have any better choices than this. If you choose to eat here be prepared to take your chances.

Always seems to be something new on the menu as well as favorite dishes. This upscale comfort food has something to satisfy every taste. Full bar, decent beer and wine selection and right in the heart of Downtown Camas.
