My wife and I have been here now three times in the last two months for dinner and can't wait to come back and try lunch or breakfast. The setting is great and the food is fabulous. However the server we've had two out of the three times seemed a little bit inexperienced. Can't wait to come back when the weather warms up and can sit outside and enjoy the view.

It's ironic that it's called the waterfront since most seats in the place can't really see more than a sliver of the water. Our server was grumpy. The dishes we ordered were hit or miss. Plus, the kitchen closes at 8:30 on weekends! honestly, I think you would be better off cooking at home for the money.

We spent two days at the Camano Island Inn during mid-week in mid-march. They had a skeleton staff during this time period and the place is really remote so we were surprised at our dinner. Our waitress (Michelle) was cheerful and helpful. She described the menu with knowable enthusiasm. It was a five course menu with choice of three entrees. The salad was fresh and contained micro greens from the Inn's own garden. The soup was delicious mushroom which matched perfectly with the pinot noir that Michelle served very professionally. That pasta course was cooked al dente. We both had the salmon which was done absolutely perfectly. Dessert was a "deconstructed" pear which had concentrated flavors of anjou pears. We'll be back.

Small intimate setting, romantic with fireplace, outstanding food, excellent service. Truly exceptional. I can't believe this dining experience is available on this little island.
