It was worth the $10 bucks to get in (my wife made me say this, haha). The cabins are from the '30's and are well restored and look fun to stay in. The Seattle Wooden Boat Works has a place there to rent sailboats and rowboats. A little too cold and rainy for that today, but will do so in the future. Brand new lodge above the beach. Looks like a return visit will be required.

This park is less than ten miles from my house. It is just north of the Camano Island State Park. There are great little cabins to rent and a cafe where you can get a latte and scone and enjoy the view. It has indoor and outdoor seating, a big fireplace, and a great view.

We stayed at the Cama Beach State Park cabins. It was so much fun. It is a great little cabin with running hot and cold water, a medium size fridge, microwave. We had a bedroom with a full bed and 2 sets of bunk beds a kitchen table and chairs in the main room. We were in the second row cabins. The first row cabin right on the beach have 2 full beds and the same amenities. The kids had a great time. They supply wood for the camp fire, have a little store to buy candy, the boat house is were you can rent all kids of boats for a reasonable price. You do need to park your car in the parking lots .3 miles away and take a shuttle to your cabin. This is great, but i did feel a little stuck at times. You can walk to get your car but it is a long steep hike up. We will stay here again, hoping to go with friends next year. You do need to book early to get a cabin.

Check out the concessionaire there....delicious food and coffee. Previously Scandia in Stanwood with a strong following, they moved to be the new concessionaire at Cama Beach. I love their panini sandwiches and they use the best locally brewed chai tea- Harmony Chai....great chai latte.
