“Good hotel, different location”
Reviewed April 21, 2012

We stayed here Xmas night after suddenly needing accommodation due to a family sickness with our relatives we were going to stay with. A pretty new and well equipped Hampton Inn, only thing was it was tucked behind a bank, so was a little hard to find where to get in, but no real bother. Room was a good size, beds were great and the breakfast the normal good Hampton Inn deal. Pool area looked large and while we didn't use it, there were a few people in there.
Provided all we needed for a quick, albeit stopover.

Nice rooms, and nice small pool. Had two adults and three children in our group and it was great. Breakfast was included and wonderful.

Great stay at the Hampton in Burlington. Very conveniently located and clean facility. There are quite a few restaurants around, but avoid the Japanese restaurant in the parking lot (Sakura). The service was terrible and it reeks of burnt grease.

Stayed one night during spring break and although the front desk said they'd been booked solid all week, it didn't feel busy and there was ample parking available.

Staff were friendly, rooms were comfortable with a large full length mirror, floor length drapes and window, functional furnishings, a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, and flat screen tv. Beds had lumpy looking duvets, though, but that didn't affect our sleep. A soft night light stayed on in the bathroom, which was handy in the middle of the night, but light did come through under the room door, which could be bothersome if you're a light sleeper and sensitive to light.

Hot breakfast was enjoyable and substantial. Room was spacious with plenty of seating and not that busy or overrun with kids. Items included french toast sticks, bacon, omelettes, hot oatmeal, make-your-own waffles, yogurt, cold cereals, breads/pastries, hard boiled eggs, real fruit salad, bananas, and a variety of beverages.

A great business centre with 2 computers and printers was located by the lobby, as was an indoor pool and hot tub. And location of the hotel was quiet, yet central to all services in town.

Very nice place.

We stayed at this hotel during the busy spring break. It definitely was filled but the service didn't suffer at all. Great check-in people and the breakfast was good as well. The best part I think is the location, right on the main street through Burlington, you can continue onto Mt. Vernon via this street, and also easily get onto Hwy. 5 up to Bellingham and all their shops. Quiet location as well, didn't hear any street noise. Many restaurants nearby and retail shopping galore.

Went down to the States on an over night to do some shopping and the only place we could get a room was at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Burlington. Up until that time I didn't even know where Burlington was. What a nice surprise. The room was quiet and new, nice pool area and decent fitness room. Warm breakfast is provided with the room charge. The staff was courteous and helpful. Best of all is that it is located within walking distance of several restaurants and big box retail outlets and is also close to the outlet stores like Lu Lu Lemon etc. Well worth the money and I would definitely stay there again

My overnight stay at this hotel was quick. Arrived about 5pm and left in the morning about 10am. Even tho I was there a short time, I was very impressed with everything about this hotel, that I wished I could have stayed longer. All employees I encountered were friendly and had excellent customer services skills. I got the impression they really enjoyed working there, from the front desk gals to the breakfast buffet gals.I had an issue with the hair dryer in the room, it kept shutting off. I had an event to attend and could not wait for them to repair or look at it, so the front desk gal let me into an adjacent room to use another hair dryer.. By the time I returned from my event they had taken care of the problem. This hotel was so clean and in great condition. I don't know if this is a new hotel, but it sure was clean and comfortable.
Pros:
Great breakfast that includes the usual items, pastries, cereal, fruit, but they even had some hot items, such as scrambled eggs, french toast sticks and sausage and make your own waffles.
The King Room had the TV in the corner, which was nice that you did not have to walk pass it to get from one part of the room to the other. A different placement of furniture that made sense.
Linens, pillows were fresh and the bed was very comfortable.
There were hooks on the wall in the bathroom right next to the shower/tub .A nice touch. Usually the only hooks you find in hotel bathrooms are behind the door and I am always afraid I am going to forget something.
Lots of counterspace in bathroom. The outlets and the dryer are on the same wall which makes it easier not to have cords all over the place.
Tub was textured on the bottom so there was no need for a mat.
Shower/Tub area had nice built in shelfs to put toiletries on that were the same height for when you showered and it had a curved shower rod.
Room also had a microwave and mini refrigerator.

Cons:
If you consider these cons, but they are minor compared to everything else.
Sink had a very slow drain.
I was on the first floor near the fitness room and business center. It seems noisy in the morning, but not in the evening.
A gap under the door was large enough to have a lot of light come thru it as if it was a night light.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visting the Burlington area. The location was great for shopping. All types of restaurants close by and a good variety as well.
As I said before, I wanted to stay longer. I could not get over how clean it was. I was so impressed, I decided to join the Hilton Honors and hope that staying at other hotels in the Hilton Family will be just as nice. Kudos to the management and employees!

Room Tip: Higher floor, might be a bit quieter.
