We went to Toro Lounge by chance. We were greeted by the owner who encouraged us to give it a try. What a nice experience. We each shared our order and we were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful flavors that played off our tongues. The food is ala carte, but worth the money. The desserts are wonderful also.

“Good experience both times we've been here”
Reviewed April 26, 2013 via mobile

Keep in mind that Toro serves tapas style--small plates intended to share. My husband and I have been here twice. Both times, we have been satisfied with both the quality and quantity of food as well as the service. This is a 'hip' bar, as far as Bremerton bars go, anyway, so it was a little noisy, but we could hear each other. Probably a good place for the younger crowd

“Hit and miss at best”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

It appears as though the first disparaging comments concerning this establishment are about to muddy their squeaky reputation.
First of all, although both the waitresses fell short of their expected abilities, they were limited in their effectiveness by what they had to work with.
Which was [--]. So some slack has been cut.
On to the dining extravaganza...
My gal and I were the first people to order food this particular Monday. Shortly after placing a request for three items an unusual odor began to permeate the place. Turns out that was our food. On fire.
Over the coming hours we experimented with a total of seven menu items.
Not the items we originally wanted to sample, mind you. Most requests were followed by a return visit of our server to inform us they were out of much of what we wanted.
"Okay, how about you just tell us what's available and we'll play it that way"?
By the time we arrived at the dessert the truth was finally revealed just why this was such a pathetic experience.
A bread pudding arrived at our table burnt black on the bottom. Now my initial reaction to something like this is to interrogate the genius who didn't observe that it's inedible during the trip from the kitchen to the table. You were carrying it...need a new prescription? Can't smell burning food either?
Instead we learned that the kitchen staff was "filling in" and that a busy weekend left them lacking of many food supplies.
So here's my question...if a business owner had the good sense to clearly indicate on the front of their establishment that they were fresh out of half their menu and what was available would be prepared by imbeciles, would you still go in?
Maybe for a beer, sure. But they were out of those too.

“Delicious!”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

This "gastropub" was delicious! A nice, quiet evening, with soft lighting and good music, our dinner at Toro Lounge was gastro-pleasing! My date and I shared the Salumi tapa to start the night, then moved on to the Grilled Tri-Tip Steak for him and the Puerco Granada for her. Both were great, however, we both agreed that the Puerco Granada, served with a scallop polenta, was the best. The waiter was attentive and friendly and the adult beverages were fine. We can't wait to head back to try out the many other delicious-sounding tapas on their menu.

“Perfect Downtown Place.”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Toro Lounge in Downtown Bremerton is a great way to relax, unwind and enjoy some great food and beverages with friends. Beautiful atmosphere on the inside, sidewalk seating for those nice days outside. Just blocks from shopping and the new movie theater. 21 and older only. Great place when you want to escape the kids for awile.
