There was a very interesting display about things GI's on their way to Vietnam had written on their bunks while aboard their troop ships. Other interesting artifacts. The rest of the museum had interesting displays on diving and the the aircraft carrier that's homeported in Bremerton. Parking is on street and you'll have to walk a couple of blocks through a nice area with sidewalk cafes and a very nice waterfront.

This is a free museum with lots of Naval history in it. There are also some interactive things that we had fun playing with. The volunteers there were very friendly. The drawback is the lack of parking right there, so expect to park and do a little walking. Nice area to walk around in, though.

We 2 adults spent several hours here midweek. No admission charged - donations only. Even the gift shop was nice - no tourist junk. There are interactive "toys" for the kids, or us adults, to try - great fun.

Even though I never served I absolutly love Navy history and can't get enough of it. It is pretty cool to know working on the ships right now will someday be history someone else will be looking at.

The museum is right next to the ferry dock so be aware of where you park to avoid getting a ticket. We spent about an hour touring the museum. We enjoyed our time there.
