My wife and I recently visited this museum on a rainy Sunday afternoon. At great drawback to this place is that there is no parking and we had to walk two or three blocks through the pouring rain to get to the place

Once there, however we were pleasantly surprised by the interesting and informative exhibits housed in the historic building, built at the beginning of the 19th century. You will see lots of the old tools used in the early days of the ship yard and see video stories of many of the individual who worked there. My advice is to allow two or three hours to fully experience the exhibits. This can be a bit shakey, as most of the on street parking is limited to only 1 hour. You may want to spring for one of the pay parking lots nearby.

While there is no entry fee to the museum, you can make a donation near the entry way. I left them a $10 bill, as that is what I thought it was worth.

Wonderful bit of our his/her story and the great fleets. You will be the best to answer the questions of your family and friends that come along. Honor to those that have generously served our country.

The tour is a great way to learn about the work that has taken place for many decades at the Puget Sound Naval Yards. The museum is well presented! The interactive exhibits provide the young and old as well with some great hands on!! It is also free!! So when you visit Bremerton by the ferry, get off the ferry, come out of the terminal and the museum is on your left. The volunteers were very friendly and informative!! The exhibits were high quality and very authentic!! This is a great museum to join the Navy for the day!!

This is a compact museum with several interesting exhibits. It covers both naval history and ship-building technology. You can see most everything in 1-2 hours. Admission is free, but it's worth a voluntary donation of 5-10 dollars.
