This museum backs up to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, which hosts several class navy vessels for dry dock/ repair. The museum takes you through history of the shipyard as well as an interesting walk through submarines and aviation on carriers. There is a lot to see and is kid friendly! a whole room for kids to dress up and color if they wish. Also an interactive DVD plays on submarines while the kids are in the Yellow submarine.
Once your self guided tour is over, the gift shop is a nice place to stop in for a while.
After your tour, go out back to the Harborside splash pads. Huge metal things spray water every so often and it's great for the kids to enjoy.

To many this is a war museum. But it is part of our history and it is told very well at the Naval Museum. Great place to find out just what really
happened. And check out the things that were important to us then.

This small but interesting museum has exhibits on the development and current activities of the adjacent Naval shipyard. It also has an excellent interactive gallery depicting life aboard the aircraft carrier Stennis.

This is a great musuem. My kids enjoy going here and learning about submarines. We have been here a few times and we continue to enjoy it! The gift shop is also fun to visit when you are done touring the musuem. They also have table with crayons and pictures for the kids to color.
