This is a converted old home that retains all the charm of such a place. As you walk upstairs to the restrooms, your hand touches the dark wood railing, you can sense the generations who went before you on that stairway. The dining rooms at the top of the stairs take you back to a time when a meal was a gathering and sharing of people and ideas.
We ate in the dining room, as the bar was a bit noisy because of the football game, which we were also able to watch from two televisions in the dining room. There is an excellent selection of beers, most are local hard-to find craft brews that were well selected. Our party ordered four appetisers and shared around family style. The pulled beef sliders were by far my favorites, expertly seasoned and generous in size. But everything was tasty and well-liked by all at the table.
Service is friendly and helpful, and I would gladly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area who wants a quality meal with fine beers in a place that has a real personality.
