We had such a wonderful time at this studio! Location is just perfect, walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, groceries. Please, be aware of the fact that there is no washer and dryer. That was our only complaint. It is clearly stated in the studio description, but we completely missed it. There are plenty of good laundry/dry cleaning places in the area. Yet, it was a bit of inconvenience. Everything else was just perfect!
This sweet little space was a true treat. From being surrounded by a lovely green space, to the waterfall, to all the windows, to the steam room! Truly a peaceful stay.
What a lovely time we had staying at your condo, which was really wonderful and provided all the comforts of home.
We could walk just down the hill to our kids' apartment, and up the hill to the campus where my daughter teaches (what a great panoramic view from the top!), as well as easily walk to town to browse the shops. We very much enjoyed the sights such as the Bellingham Farmer's market, walking the long pier, and visiting Fairhaven with its art galleries and shops. We also enjoyed several eateries in town, such as Anthony's Hearthfire Grill overlooking the harbor, Boundary Bay, Aslan, and Busara for Thai food. I even found gluten free pizza at La Fiamma and gluten free carrot cake at the Pure Bliss bakery!
We drove up to Vancouver for a day and visited the wonderful aquarium in Stanley Park, and in general just enjoyed hanging out with our daughter and her husband. We found that we could choose to conveniently park their car in the reserved slot just up the stairs from the unit.. or at the curb on the street below.
I'd say we would jump at the opportunity to stay here again, but our kids will be moving home to live near us in Santa Barbara as soon as my daughter finishes her masters.
We appreciated staying at your place; you obviously know how to make people feel comfortable and welcome. And your husband's beautiful woodworking added a very special touch. Thank you from both of us.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The suite was everything that was advertised. This is the perfect location for doing things in Bellingham. A home away from home.

We had a single night in this lovely studio unit in late October. I wish we had more time to settle in and enjoy this charming aerie. Cleverly designed and very clean, outfitted with charming details and custom wooden tables. The Queen bed was super comfy. The steam shower was awesome too. I would note that parking is tight and so we used on street parking that required 20 some steps up an incline to the unit. This was a real challenge for my husband who walks with a cane but he was very happy once we got in. All in all this is a very nice spot to stay while exploring Bellingham! Next time we will try to stay a bit longer!!
Great experience from beginning to end. Excellent pre-stay and follow-up contact with the host and hostess. The setting gives a sense of privacy and seclusion despite being in the middle of town. Nicely done interior, huge sauna/shower was the cherry on the cake and a highlight of the stay. Will definitely return!
We had a great overnight at the Garden Street Studio. A sleek and stylish, yet very warm and cozy northwest urban studio centrally located in Bellingham. Head north or south a few short blocks and you’ll either be in the heart of downtown or up on campus (Western Washington University). We loved the spacious walk-in shower with steam room option and waking up in a comfy bed to a beautiful pink sky sunrise and sun glistening on waterfront buildings. We ended up doing takeout and listening to great music, but could have easily stayed in, cooked in the fully equipped kitchen and watched a movie on the flat screen. Comfortable place for 2-4 people (pullout coach in main area). Nice happy hour and morning coffee patio potential when it gets warmer. The handcrafted live edge tables, maple “tree” coat rack and local art are very nice additions. Easy to find this place on main street leading to University. Covered carport and/or on-street parking.
