There are five rooms at this lodge and ours was lovely, but we were particularly enamoured with the living space here. We just stayed one night as a stop off between plain old boring hotels along an extended trip, so we were tired of being boxed into a room as well as lacking the energy to keep going out every night. This was the antidote. The couple who own the lodge are very polite and helpful and also make an amazing breakfast, but they live in their own home nearby. It's a nice balance, as they are always nearby but we never felt like we were intruding in their space, like can happen with a more standard B&B. Some other guests made use of the hot tub but sitting by the fire was more our style in November -- so everyone seemed pretty happy! We also appreciated that there was free wifi throughout the property as well as hot and cold drinks whenever we liked. Refreshing compared to the escalated prices of sodas and snacks in hotel vending machines! This property is a bit of a drive from town, but the surroundings are beautiful, and I'm sure that in the middle of town you wouldn't get to take a stroll by a field of llamas. Above all, we really enjoyed our short stay here.
