Owner description: The Historic Fairhaven District is a quaint, charming community full of boutiques, shops, spas and restaurants. It's located in Bellingham, WA on the south side of town, north of Seattle and south of Vancouver, BC. It's surrounded by miles of hiking and biking trails with beautiful views of the bay. It has a little of everything for the entire family. It's great for a day trip or a long relaxing weekend!

take a walk down historic streets and turn of the century ( and older ) sidewalks - Fairhaven is made for strolling - from barbershops to vintage clothing stores ( south side trends ) real English fish and chips served from a double decker bus ,take a wander down to the ferry terminal and enjoy a pint at Archers ale house - nice afternoon stroll - and super decorated streets at Christmas - Fun fun fun

The classic and friendly atmosphere at the Fairhaven District is always engaging. I enjoy the variety of arts, florals and books. Plan to go for lunch and spend time visiting the different stores.

Many restaurants and cafes, coffee, water and ice cream seemed always only a step away. Quaint shops with unusual items. Many galeries ans well as the requisite tee shirt shops, but all somehow a cut above the average.

The restored Fairhaven district is a treasure trove of small shops, good restaurants, and friendly people. I enjoyed walking about and just taking in the atmosphere. Parking can be a bit of a problem but is usually easily overcome.
