It's located in Bellingham, WA on the south side of town, north of Seattle and south of Vancouver, BC. It's surrounded by miles of hiking and biking trails with beautiful views of the bay. Near some really good jogging and biking trails and I like how small it is really good for walking around and near a really good beach. Overall, I like this place a lot.

“Stepping back in time”
Reviewed November 26, 2013

If you love brick buildings, restaurants and strolling through book shops, kids toy stores and retail artisans then plan on a visit to Fairhaven. Fairhaven has many lovely restaurants from the Rocket Donuts location (new building but second location for Bellingham) to Harris St. Cafe (breakfast & lunch), Tony's coffee and the Black Cat cafe and bar. There are two awesome book stores both Eclipse with helpful and quirky owner and Village Books with lots of authors who visit, activities and a cafe as well as a fine woodworking shop, rug shop, CD shop and other fun places to visit. With a double-decker bus that serves fish & chips and a boardwalk that you can walk all the way into downtown, you could easily spend a day here.

“Best shopping district on bellingham”
Reviewed November 25, 2013 via mobile

Not only is there an abundance of great shops to visit, but Fairhaven is connected to some of the best trails and walking routes in bellingham. The district is filled with all independently owned and operated shops with everything from a lovely flower shop to a wonderful small hotel, art galleries, restaurants and so much more.

“Great Bellingham history”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

Fairhaven at one time was a city onto it's own, but it is now part of Bellingham...known as Southside to the locals. There is a lot of history there and there are markers on the sidewalk where historical things happened. There are also a lot of great little art galleries and pottery places. Also a lot of really good restaurants. In short: just a wonderful place to spend an afternoon or a few days.
