Newly remodeled, this place gives the visitor a glimpse into what it must have been like to be charting a course into electricity back when virtually all the equipment was constructed by hand. Allow extra time since those early inventions are linked up to more modern applications of the same principles discovered long ago.

This interesting museum is packed with displays and radio-related equipment that helps to explain to visitors how electricity and radio was developed, and the impact that both have had on our lives. But it's not self- explanatory. We have been several times, with and without out-of-town guests. We have found that, unless you have docent, many times you really don't know what you are looking at. The radios in particular are amazing -- if you know what they do, and the place they occupy in the evolution of this remarkable technology.

Really fine hands on experience of experiments, inventors, actual equipment used, how the understanding grew and had the real original light bulbs from edison, original radios and lamps and lots of visual exhibits that kept my kids and partner well entertained. I throughly enjoyed it.

This museum is not to be missed. You might expect the subject to be dry and boring, but you are guaranteed to come away with a new understanding of how the properties of electricity were discovered and developed over the centuries. The displays are interactive, educational and interesting to all ages and levels. It covers centuries-old experiments and modern-day developments. Docents are on hand and are very knowledgeable. Anyone remember the old free-standing tube testers that were in every hardware store? It's here!
