We booked a night here to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Staying in Fairhaven is a great escape from Seattle, and the wonderful thing about this hotel is that it is right in the heart of this charming, walkable neighborhood. We could have stayed here several nights. So many cute shops within one block, lots of restaurants, waterfront walk, village green space with concert, the list goes one. Our favorite things about this hotel are that the room was spacious, we had a view out to the water, and everything was very clean. Parking is on site, and they have a lovely deck with views on either side to the village green and to the ocean. We brought a picnic and ate our dinner out there while enjoying a concert in the park and the sunset on the ocean. Perfect!

My family and friends filled most of the hotel for a long weekend/week in order to celebrate my son's wedding. The Village Inn was the perfect spot! Located right in town, people had access to the cute shops and many restaurants! The kids loved the wooden train set, books and games offered in the library and the adults could be found visiting at any time of day; coffee and ice water are always available. There is a nice sun deck on the second floor, but construction next door makes it uninviting most days right now; the new building will also block some of that view which is a shame. The breakfast was great - fresh made waffles, berries, boiled eggs, yogurt, cereals, toasts, muffins, juice and coffee in a sunny room! The staff could not have been nicer! They were helpful with restaurant suggestions, directions, setting up for a brand new baby with mini-fridge and microwave cart, and even supplied freshly baked cookies every afternoon! Really nice people! Our room was spotless and very quiet-311. The rooms are quite large with comfortable chairs, a fireplace and balcony (back rooms). Though some have mentioned the train noise from the back rooms, we were not bothered by it. The Fairhaven Village Inn was the perfect homey spot for our large group!

Room Tip: Rooms in the back have balconies and fireplaces. The train goes by in the middle of the night, but w...

We've stayed at this Inn a few times now and apparently my wife can't review it again as it's too soon! So I thought I would step in :-)

I really want to talk about Customer Service. We had a somewhat tortuous weekend before arriving at the Fairhaven Village Inn. Our credit card company had been sending us on a merry dance which unfortunately continued when we tried to check in.

This is when the staff, Linda(?) was amazing. Despite my anger and frustration with my credit card company she calmly made me feel like we would sort this out and all would be good. With help from Emma(?) in the back office the whole situation was handled very professionally at the same time as maintaining a very friendly and welcoming experience for my wife and I.

It was all resolved before too long and the room was a very welcome retreat, very comfortable and well thought out. You can learn more details from other reviewers of course, what stands out for me is the customer service. I seriously believe there are some big name hotels out there, some within an hour or two of Fairhaven that could benefit from sending all it's staff to the Fairhaven Village Inn for a lesson!

I can't wait to visit again. First Class!

We have stayed here a number of times. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. They have a very enjoyable breakfast that should satisfy most people. A great stopover place when passing through the Bellingham area.

My adult daughter and I visited in Bellingham, Am happy to recommend this hotel in the Fairhaven area of Bellingham, which is not far from Western Washington University. We had a sm. fireplace in our room, a balcony where one could sit and watch the sailboats and other marine sights of Bellingham Bay. This hotel is close to shopping in delightful shops featuring art form in glass, pottery, home-style candy. The farmers market was open across from our hotel and featured beautiful vegetables from regional farms.

Room Tip: We liked the 3rd floor as we could view the bay. A/C was excellent

On our way from Seattle to Vancouver we drove through Fairhaven and fell in love with this little town. We actually left Vancouver early so we could spend the night at the Village Inn and explore Fairhaven. We called on Thursday and they happened to have 1 last room available on Saturday night, so we took it! The Village Inn is clean and the staff is very friendly. They have a library where you can pickup a good book or play a fun board game! We also enjoyed their continental breakfast, it offers the basics - cereal, toast/english muffin, fruit, yogurt - but it's nice not to have to venture far to get breakfast in the morning. Fairhaven is a great little town and we enjoyed our stay at the Village Inn. Thanks!

This location is perfectly located across the street from a charming little square with a book shop and wine cafe. As well as on the bay which is beautiful at sunset. The warmth and cleanliness of this hotel leaves you wanting for nothing. They have thought of every detail and you can just relax and enjoy.
