Extremely disappointed with this hotel property. The nice amenities, furnishing and artwork cannot disguise the fact that it was built cheaply and noise levels are overwhelming. After complaining for 3 hours to the front desk about loud upstairs neighbors, we were only saved by the fact the room fan makes enough noise to drown out the noise they were making. Finally got to sleep at 2:30am. The hotel desk manager was unable or unwilling to silence the noisy neighbors.

I travel for a living and arrange accommodations for many tour groups, both overseas and in the US. There was no credit for the inconvenience, no apology given. I think the location is gorgeous, but corners were cut on soundproofing during the construction of the property. Another member of our group mentioned that they heard the wind blowing metal against the flag pole all night long.

Go for dinner, stay somewhere else.

We wanted to go somewhere for a few days but the Hotel Bellwether was booked solid for the weekend so we decided to go just for the Friday night. We're really disappointed now that we couldn't stay more days. What a wonderful place! The setting is beautiful and the hotel is even better than I expected. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The rooms were what I would have expected from a much more expensive hotel. The price we paid was a steal for such a lovely place.
We'll be back again - and probably again.

This hotel is definitely a great place to retreat from reality. Beautifully decorated and appointed rooms including sliding glass doors to balcony to view the sunset. Very quiet and serene at this hotel. The restaurant is very good. The hotel is well worth the price for the gorgeous rooms and view of the water.

Rooms are quite attractive with comfortable furniture. Given the gas fireplace and spa bath with folding doors over the tub that open to the main bedroom, seems hotel is geared to romantic getaway. However, it serves many business travelers on weekdays. Great views from hotel. Quiet rooms. Stocked minibar. Free locked parking. Didn't try the restaurant, but did eat some very good meals at other restaurants that were easy walking distance.

My husband and I recently had a very poor experience at the Hotel Bellwether. As a gift, we had received a gift certificate in an amount sufficient to cover our stay at the hotel, yet upon check in, after verifying that our certificate was adequate, we were denied a room due to our inability to present a credit card. We were told that if given a room, we were subject to a room inspection upon departure. This took all the pleasure out of the gift for us, and we would not recommend this hotel to others based on this experience. We are local residents, and we felt annoyed that a business in our county would treat guests in this manner.

We stayed at this hotel on the way from Vancouver to Seattle. Arriving without a reservation, the desk staff were excellent, offering a choice of rooms that they insisted on showing to us at a reasonable rate. If you are looking for a quiet hotel in a lovely location this is for you, overlooking the marina and bay, the position is superb. The hotel restaurant is excellent, the food really good, service good and location again overlooking the bay, loveley. I will definatley stay at this hotel again should I be travelling in the area.
