“Peaceful, relaxing setting with wonderful hosts, artistically themed rooms, and delicious organic breakfast.”
Reviewed September 14, 2010

The suites feel so luxurious with the wonderful art, especially the tile-designed floor in the bathroom of the Mediterranean suite, complete with heated flooring for those cool mornings. We were drawn by the organic food, wooded setting, beautiful art and hosts' commitment to sustainability. My husband has difficulty sleeping in hotel rooms and raved about the comfort of the king bed and how well he slept. The hosts are friendly without being intrusive. I enjoyed morning coffee (organic, fair-trade) while sitting on the front porch watching the birds, then talking a short walk on the grounds. The hosts pay attention to so much detail - wine upon arrival, bedside chocolates, choice of "in-room" continental breakfast (so that you can eat when it fits your schedule) or a cooked breakfast, a small common kitchen with a fridge for your own food etc. There were three of us and we plan to be there again with four people. It will be cozy for four, but still well worth staying there. Terrific place.

I like to think of myself as being creative and responsible...both in my wine tasting pursuits and when choosing accomodations. What a pleasure to find the two can be put together quite nicely in beautfiul Bellingham Washington.

I raise my glass in toast to Kara and Kurt , owners of this gorgeous Northwest retreat. They've managed to find a lovely balance of quiet beautiful surroundings showcasing FABULOUS eco - friendly accomodations ...all while being near to wineries, sailing, hiking, biking, and skiing.

With just two guest cottages, you feel more like a friend than a paying guest. Wander the grounds, listen to the breeze through the trees, and take the time to indulge in a lovely Cabernet on the front porch while local birds saranade you. it seems everthing in this place lives in harmony and welcomes you with open, sustainable hearts.

The Tree Frog Night Inn is set well off Mt. Baker Highway in a quiet and beautiful wooded lot graced by cedars and rhododendrons. The two-suite building is beautifully designed to meld into this setting and was artfully inspired both inside and out. It's charm was crafted using environmentally friendly materials and makes use of sustainable and locally produced building materials.
Once inside our Salish suite, the incredible attention to detail in designing an artistic environment that features Pacific native American culture and use of natural materials was awe inspiring. It is beauty, comfort, and art that enfolds you! Lightly scented handmade soaps, warm tile floors, plush towels, robes, a double shower with unique tiling, and a beautiful aqua glass sink make even the bathroom an artistic retreat! Beween our suite and the Mediterranean suite was a kitchenette for guests' use complete with refrigerator, extra glasses, teas, and washer/dryer.
Innkeepers Kara and Kurt are friendly, helpful, and delightful to talk with. Kara's attention to her guests' breakfast options is outstanding. She is committed to serving you local, organic, healthy, hearty and delicious food. I don't believe would be possible to leave the table hungry!
We can't praise the Tree Frog Night Inn enough! It was extraordinary in every way. It will be first on our list of places to stay the next time we are in Bellingham!

Beauty is often in the details, and nothing has been overlooked here. Careful attention and great taste combine for lovely suites that both pamper the body and arouse the senses. Dark chocolate bedside, blooming orchids on arrival. A complimentary bottle of local red wine introduces us to the region. Hummingbirds and grosbeaks dance outside our window beneath the cedars. Rich tapestries on the walls, fine linens on the beds. Really, one could go on and on.

Breakfast is given the same loving devotion as the rooms, and Kara creates a bountiful and healthy cuisine. She and Kurt are welcoming hosts, eager to make your stay a great one.

We had only one night to get away, and wanted something special. We found it! This lovely, charming, new b&b offered beautiful accommodation (we stayed in the Mediterranean Suite), and a fabulous, organic/local growers breakfast. Our hosts were amazing! Kara arranged for a last-minute massage for both my husband and I, and provided directions to the most picturesque access points for the local trails where we went running the next morning. Can’t wait to try the adjacent suite!

We stayed in the Salish Suite for three nights. The rooms were beautifully decorated and pleasant. I rarely sleep through the night when I leave the comfort of my own bed, but I slept soundly all three nights at this Inn.
The Salish Suite features the work of local Native American artists. A carved mask, over-sized cribbage board and wall art are beautifully displayed here. Reading comes naturally in the sitting room, especially when the little stove is on.
The innkeepers cheerfully divided up the king sized bed into two extra long twins for us. We especially enjoyed the heated floors in the bathroom, along with the ample shower. The tilework and glass sink in the bathroom are worth the trip! Treat yourself to this lovely Inn in Bellingham - it's a great earth-friendly alternative to motel chains.

“This was the perfect get-away for writing our book—beautiful, quiet, peaceful. The food was delicious! We also felt like we were living in a work of art. Beautiful touches everywhere. And surrounded by soft, gentle Cedars. What a welcoming place. We appreciate all the caring attention that truly makes this an eco-friendly experience. Dominique and Carrie
