The hotel was obviously from the 1970's and has been renovated. Clean room, soft bed, soft pillows- but some people like firm pillows so an option would be nice. For $60 plus tax you can't really complain. The breakfast had some cello wrapped pastry things, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal and a few other things- but it goes till 11 am so hard to complain about that. Decent place, but the fridge was kinda loud, had to steal a pillow from my man in order to sleep. I would recommend ear plugs :) great value though.

We had a fantastic time at the Coachman. After cancelling our initial reservation for another motel due to some bad reviews, we booked the Coachman last-minute for a really excellent price point. Our non-smoking room was clean and comfortable with perks like a coffee machine and hair dryer. The service we received from the moment we arrived to our goodbye at checkout was excellent, efficient, and best of all, friendly.

We were blown away by the continental breakfast - I've paid way more for hotels that offer far less! There was soy milk available for coffee (so many bonus points) as well as the really good orange juice (Tropicana), apple juice, fresh bagels with jam or cream cheese, danishes, muffins, four types of cereal, and freshly brewed coffee if you didn't feel like brewing your own in your room. Plus, you could sit at a cute table in the lobby watching the news with other patrons while enjoying your breakfast.

We would recommend the Coachman to anyone looking for a great spot close to downtown Bellingham, and we will be back in the summer to enjoy the pool!

Room Tip: Look for non-smoking.

I recently stayed a night at the Coachman Inn (Dec 27) with my 3 girls. Although we only needed to stay the night, we got a great sense of the overall quality of the motel. The front desk man was personable and efficient. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was immaculate! Breakfast provided all we needed and having the computer there in the lobby was very helpful. The location was ideal. I didn't use the gym, but would have liked to!

Well I was amazed I always check trip advisor and yet again it has not let me down
This is a 2 star Motel . But it is better than some 3/4 star ones
It was clean, well managed you can see the owner cares, our room was very quiet the beds were really comfortable flat screen tv, coffee, good heating, good Internet connection. Bathroom was small but clean the best hair dryer I have ever used also the towels were definitely 5 star thick white & fluffy. Breakfast Room was really nice beautiful fireplace great coffee and everything you need for a continental breakfast ...... The price was the best around give it a try $60 for a 2 bedded room you can't beat that

Well, we wanted a reasonably priced motel for a shopping spree in Bellingham...
Of course went via Tripadvisor to check on what was out there...came across this little beauty!
For the money, $70, THE COACHMAN was perfect,
Scrupulously clean, from the foyer right through to the room. Important to us.
Would highly recommend this place...don't let the older exterior put you off, for inside is a little jewel!
The brekky was an added bonus, included in the price...and more that adequate.
Thank you to the owners and staff, you should be proud of all these accolades on Tripadvisor...
You deserve them. We will be back to stay.

Room Tip: I asked for a room on the second floor. It was quiet and I felt safe. The motel is monitored from...

The front desk staff was nice and actually remember my name. It feels nice to be treated as a friend.
The roome wasn't big but clean.
Nice location to Downtown and WWU.
Breakfast was damn but coffee was nice enough so no complain.
