“Simply a great stay.”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

I. Location
- Great location right off the I-405 and across from the Bravern.

II. Check-in
- Staff was friendly and there were no issues upon check-in.
- Their website says the lobby is new. It is. Great looking modern style.

III. Room (king bed, 1-bath)
- Spacious, clean (no bedbugs as I always perform a thorough check)
- Updated/remodeled room
- Beds were comfortable. (king size)
- No issues with the heating/air conditioning unit - centralized.
- Oversized mini-fridge
- No washer or dryer in the room

IV. Service
- No issues so this rated excellent. We were only there for one night so no issues means great service!

V. Pool/Workout Room
- Indoor pool. Didn't use it, but there were a fair amount of people using it when I used the workout room.
- Workout room was decent: treadmills and bikes with tv screens; dumbbells up to 60 lbs; 2 benches. Light workout if you lift. Great if you only do cardio.

VI. Extra Info
- We didn't use the internet so I can't comment on cost and/or use of service.
- Everything in Bellevue is walking distance.
- $12/night parking (self-park) - we parked on the street since there were a good amount of open spaces. You have to move your car by 9AM since it's 2-hour parking. I had to move it twice, but it saved me $12.
- Happy hour at John Howie is worth it. Blue Martini has a nice menu at happy hour as well. Both located across the street at the Bravern.
- Starbucks in the lobby, restaurant and separate bar in lobby as well.
- Subway is connected to the building along with a couple other restaurants.
- 25 minute drive from the airport with no traffic. Between 45 - 75 minutes with traffic.

Great location, close to transit, Meydenbauer Center, tons of shopping and wonderful restaurants just a few blocks away...easy walk. The staff was very helpful, professional and accommodating. Our king bed sofa room was facing the courtyard, relatively quiet even being next to the indoor pool. You do hear hallway noises, i.e. inconsiderate people laughing and talking after midnight, the only downfall. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept in and the shower had great water pressure. The work desk area had a table that pulled out and made it easy to dine in. We found a fabulous deli, The Pasta Co., across the street from Nordstrom. Bought some salads and sandwiches to bring back to the room so the fridge came in handy. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Thank you ctl213 for your kind comments about our hotel and staff. I am delighted to hear that enjoyed your stay with us. We are lucky that our property is located in the perfect area that offers convenient restaurants and shopping which makes for a great weekend getaway or a place to unwind after a long day at work.
I am sorry to hear that noise in the hallways in the evening kept you up. We do monitor the hallways in the evening to ensure people are respectful of others. Please accept my apologies for not addressing the disruption during your stay. I appreciate your feedback about the hotel and I hope that we see you in your future travels.

Within a block of the Bellevue transit station, offering an express bus to downtown Seattle, right to Pikes Place. Hotel was very clean, our room was quiet (4th floor facing courtyard), comfortable bed. I found the front desk staff to be friendly and helpful but do not expect concierge-level service. This is a perfect hotel if you are seeking a convention center close hotel with access to the bus. Easy walk to Bellevue Square mall and many restaurants. Complimentary umbrellas!

Parking was fine.....room was nice and clean.....walls are thin......doors opening and closing were very loud and could not be controlled no matter how softly you tried. Damn kids hockey teams staying there and they have no social environment recognition....parents...tell your kids to respect quiet at midnight in the hallways.....

I recently made a reservation online for two rooms at the Courtyard Marriott Bellevue Downtown (near Seattle). I was traveling with members of my family, including my two small children. On January 3rd we arrived to learn we had not been placed into adjoining rooms, despite numerous calls to request this, and that we were also not placed in a quieter area of the hotel, rather facing directly the intersection of two major streets and near the elevator. It was very loud. The front desk staff understood that I was frustrated with this and sought to try and secure an adjoining room. We were told to return later so the adjoining room could be cleaned for us. Later, we returned to occupy this adjoining room and go to sleep. Upon entering the room, we found various personal items belonging to the previous guests including used hygiene products, half eaten food in the fridge, and garbage throughout. The in room safe was not functional and the telephone also did not work. We notified the front desk staff who came to collect the garbage and other items. The front desk staff seemed to be less than happy to be having to deal with this situation. However, they agreed to pass a message to the hotel management the next morning. At this point, began to settle into the room and moved to the bed to go to sleep. Upon lifting the comforter, we discovered soiled under garments belonging to the previous guests. DISGUSTING!!! This obviously enraged us and was indicative of the fact that the hotel staff had not in fact cleaned the room, but rather simply tried (poorly I might add) to cover up the the mess left by the previous guests. I attended the front desk with a photo of the bed and spoke with the front counter staff who seemed ill equipped to handle the situation. No house keeping staff was working and only essential hotel staff was available (security and maintenance personnel). The front desk person began to try and locate us new rooms, however, as it was now past midnight, I told him I wouldn't awaken my kids for this purpose. I asked him to supply us with clean sheets and bedding so we could remake our own beds and advised him we would follow up with management in the morning. I was escorted to the laundry facility and was provided the required items. I returned to the room and we remade the beds and went to sleep. Our night was neither restful or comfortable. This hotel is terrible. DO NOT STAY HERE. Many other hotels nearby are much cleaner, quieter, and more concerned about their guests.

Room Tip: Dont stay here...the hotel is poorly run and the rooms are not cleaned well, if at all.

Marriott has the greatest concern and respect for every guest’s experience. We take hotel hygiene and cleanliness very seriously. As a result, Marriott has established very strict standards of cleanliness for all its hotels that either meet or exceed public health department regulations. In the unusual event we are made aware of a concern, we respond immediately to the situation and take the appropriate steps to remediate the problem.

We sincerely apologize that your time with us did not meet your expectations. We regret how frustrating this must have been for you. Thank you for speaking with us, both during and after your stay so that we could work to make things better.

Thank you again for your feedback: we have shared your comments with our associates to improve our operations for future guests. We hope that Marriott will be given the opportunity to exceed your expectations in the future.

Kind Regards,

Stayed here for 2 nights for a shopping trip. Check in was smooth but a bit slow. We arrived around 7pm and only one staff was working at the front desk. Then we found out parking is now $10/night (I remember it used to be complimentary). Take extra caution when maneuvering in the parkade because it's designed quite awkwardly. We almost got hit by another careless driver who was backing up too fast.

Our room was on the 2nd floor facing the courtyard. There wasn't much of a view but that's alright. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Wifi works very well. There is also a small pool on our floor but we didn't have our swimming suit with us. We are very happy with this hotel and would definitely return

We stayed there for only one night and found the room very comfortable and up-to-date. They are still renovating the lobby area, but the rooms seemed to be completed. There is underground, secured parking, which is very nice ($10/day). They also have complimentary wireless, which is very nice. If you want to stay in downtown Bellevue for a reasonable cost, this is a good choice.

Thank you Caryjames for your comments about our property. I am so happy to hear that everything was great with your stay. We are still undergoing renovations but we are very excited about the progress and what is to come with the final product. Most of our guest rooms are completely renovated already and the lobby is not far behind. Our underground parking is separated from the retail parking area with key-only access which only guests and employees have entry to. I appreciate you taking the time to comment about our hotel and I hope that we will have the pleasure of accommodating you again in the future!
