The interior of the restaurant is very sophisticated and has a nice bar setting. There is also outdoor seating for nice afternoons or evenings. The service is very pleasant and efficient. The food tastes like the food at most Thai restaurants. One thinks everything has been cooked ahead and assembled into appropriate containers from which the chef can construct different dishes.. It doesn't taste bad -- it just isn't memorable or outstanding. We were there on a quiet Sunday afternoon and may try it again on a night when food moves through more rapidly and is perhaps a little fresher. Most people will find it a pleasant enough setting and decent enough food to say the experience was okay.

We've dined at Chantanee for a few years, and it remains our favorite restaurant in Bellevue for its authentic, delicious Thai dishes and friendly, efficient service. We've never had a bad meal here. Lunchtime is busy but if you get here between 11:00am and noon, you'll miss the office lunch crowd. The Pad See Ew is fantastic, as is the Roast Duck Curry. The Green Curry Chicken is one of the best we've tasted. Parking at the Key Bank Building is convenient but a little tricky to find the first time. Once out of the elevators, exit through the glass doors and turn right.

Once again our favorite Thai restaurant in downtown Bellevue delights! Consistently delicious Thai cuisine with a wide vegetarian offering attract a growing audience. Don't hesitate to ask the staff for recommendations, or peek at neighboring tables to broaden your experience with the many fine dishes served in either luncheon specials or full diner portions. For more than 20 years Chantanee has been wowing customers with quick service and excellent food & drinks. The only drawback we've experienced is that its popularity with the growing crowds walking around downtown Bellevue these days means that showing up at noon with your team of colleagues will require a wait. We typically have our lunch after 1pm, that and before noon on a weekday typically pose no problem getting a table. Nice outdoor seating in season!

Our favorites are Phad Bai Graplau (ground chicken with Thai chilies & holy basil), Angel Wings (a stuffed chicken starter that easily makes a good sized lunch or distribute the six pieces around the table) and Sizzling Golden Chicken... grilled chicken covered in curry sauce (but this adds to cooking time). For the "true" Thai experience try the Som Tam (spicy shredded green papaya salad) but take care: for those who think that they understand real Thai spice levels order your dish's spice level cautiously 3-star is spicy, 5-star is really spicy, and "make it the way its served in Isaarn" and it could leave you gasping... :) A great compliment to the family lunch or dinner is Chantanee Special Fried Rice... chicken, pork, beef, shrimp & squid in a large serving of fried rice.

Chantanee moved from its original home over by Pete's Wine on105th Ave a few years ago to the high rent district in the Key Bank building. Still offers great Thai food and generous portions. Their take on the old favorites such as Phad Thai, Phad Khi Mao and Phad See Iew are great. Highly recommend The Chantanee Noodle but the real stand-out is the Crispy Garlic Chicken (excellent). Service is normally good and attentive and meals are served quickly. The new location offers a classier ambience. While I went for dinner, I typically would go for lunch where it always attracted the local business crowd. Lunch time can get busy and there is generally a wait. During such times service can take a hit. The new location is a bigger venue and better able to accommodate the prime time rush.

All four of us at dinner really enjoyed our meals, no complaints.
