We eat at Seastar often as we live nearby.
It is consistently excellent. The service is outstanding.
The menu is varied every thing from sushi to steak....
A lunch menu that is very reasonable and a dinner menu fit for dining with conversation,
as it has a nice ambience.

We came here to get great crab legs and we weren't disappointed. The only crab on the menu was crab on a cedar plank and indeed a charred plank was under the crab. But I couldn't detect any cedar effect for which I was thankful. I wanted the sweet delicate flavor of crab and this is what I got. Cooked veg was also wonderful. Caesar salad was disappointingly ordinary. At this level of restaurant I would expect fresh dressing possibly prepared table side.

As you can tell by the title spending over $100 on a meal of salad, veg, seafood, and a glass of house wine is not my jam. The location is pleasant, wait staff efficient, etc but this is still a seafood restaurant in an office building in Bellevue. My husband and I recently returned from Denmark where we had superb 4 course meals in period restaurants. For that we paid about $150 per person and we felt that was worth it.

Sorry Seastar, you just aren't in that league and I doubt if we will return unless someone else is paying. Maybe that's the market, people on expense accounts who don't care if they are over charged.

Thank you for your comments. I can appreciate wanting a good value, and that is exactly what we offer. We only serve the Merus section of the King Crab. This is the thigh - the fattest, juiciest most desired section of the leg. This yields you the most bang for your buck. You will not find other sections that yield very little to no meat, therefore offering an excellent value. Zagat has rated us the number one seafood restaurant in the Pacific NW, and we are quite proud of that distinction. We appreciate you dining with us, and hope we have the honor of seeing you again.

We've dined a few times at Seastar. It's ranged from excellent to average. Those occasions that have been excellent were perfection. I took my husband to dinner for his birthday. We both ordered off the fresh list. The scallops I'd ordered before we're on the menu but with a different preparation and the sauce was sweet and distracting instead of an enhancement. Husband had a grilled fish, portion seemed small and he said it was so so. I was a very busy night and our waitress seemed rushed. This was our second so so experience. Uncertain if we'll try again, for the price we expect consistency . . . But Seastar has wowed us too, so maybe one more time.

Perfect for a quiet business meeting. Nice menu selection, pleasing decor, not noisy. Great service. Selection of food that most people could find something that suited their fancy.

We dined here on a Monday night with business colleagues. Our server Jody was fabulous as well as wine steward Gretchen. Jody took the time to make recommendations. We started with the appetizer tower, which gave each of us a sample of three delicious items. My entree was the wild gamefish, which happened to be yellowfin tuna. Awesome! My dessert was a local made ice cream of orange, vanilla, and salted caramel served in a chilled metal martini glass! Great presentation! Our wine choice was perfect.

I highly recommend Seastar!
