Okay I know it has high ratings. That's why I went. But everyone in the group gave it 3.5 stars in its respective category. It wasn't bad just not a culinary dining experience. Our apps were served lukewarm. The mains were just okay. The martinis took too long and lost the chill. Wine is overpriced for selection. Decor feels like a hotel conference room. Sorry just not my type of restaurant.

It won't be the cheapest happy hour in the city, but the food and house-wine are some of the best, by far. So many other happy-hours give you some typical options, but here you get sushi, inventive deviled-eggs, great shrimp-or-pork options...or do what my wife and I always do; split their hamburger (easily the best in Bellevue), fries (or split one of their fantastic salads). A couple glasses of wine and much of the above will cost you less than $50. Not bad when you consider the quality of each component. The staff is also very pleasant and attentive. Free parking underneath the building to boot.

I found the Seastar near the Marriott Bellevue where I was staying. It was an easy couple of blocks walk, It is a very nicely decorated location and has a degree of sophistication that I'm sure makes it a hit with the business meal crowd. I'm not a very talented restaurant reviewer. I just tend to go with how I like the ambiance of the place, how good the service is, the taste of the food and what kind of prices they have. All that taken together, at Seastar I was unimpressed especially given the $145 tab for two people without ordering desserts and with only one premeal cocktail.Nice place, interesting preparations served well but just average tasting and pricey.

Food was excellent. Perfectly cooked and seasoned food. I had the filet mignon and my date had the salmon.Great fresh bread assortment. We ordered the strawberry salad and the corn crab chowder! Both were delicious!
The service was amazing!

This Howie restaurant is consistently great whether enjoying a small, intimate romantic meal or a large gathering. A bit pricey but fabulous seafood and creative presentations. The Thai soup was flavorful and the seafood cobb, while a bit small was very tasty. Three of us all had different fish including trout, tuna and copper river salmon and there was not a morsel of food left. Presentations were as eye appealing as the food was palate appealing. You will need to open your wallet a bit wide but it is worth it.
