Nice seasonal displays plus good walking trails in the woods. Don't miss the new suspension bridge. The highlight of the year is the December light display, but it is beautiful in all seasons.

Came from Chicago and took a drizzly morning walk through the botanical garden. It was under construction so some places were a bit messy. But seeing all the beautiful spring blooms and walking over the suspension bridge into the canopied area was a nice way to spend some time before a meeting.

Always a special Christmas treat for family and grandchildren alike. Not very good access for disabled seniors, but not sure what you could do about it beyond trying to provide handicapped parking sort of close in.

This is a beautiful place for a walk in the fall, spring or summer. They also have an amazing Christmas light display in December. Not to be missed.

The Bellevue Botanical Gardens are a delight to visit from spring to fall, but there is no need to leave out winter. During December and early January the gardens are filled with lights that are sculpted into garden scenes. We've been coming with our two kids since they were little and the scenes keep evolving with new creations added to old favorites. A map is handed out at the beginning and the kids are on the lookout for various animals (made out of lights) tucked into the garden scenes. They recreate their perennial border in lights, and display mock wisteria, fuchsia, and this year added a tropical section. There is a construction project going on near the main entrance as they build a new visitor center and education center, but they handled the crowds well. It gets very busy on the weekends, so try a weeknight. It's a great evening out to enjoy with your family.
