“Needs a Reno but clean”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 25, 2013 via mobile

Stayed in the hotel last weekend, was a bit wary as the pictures of the hotel made it seem outdated but we enjoyed our stay! The front desk was super helpful and friendly. The huge front foyer smells a bit like old carpet but my boyfriend didn't notice it. When we got to our room, we were surprised at how big it was! Guess that's a perk to it being and older hotel. It was clean and comfortable so that definitely made up for the fact that it needs a reno. We enjoyed our stay! Location is just a short drive to tons of restaurants, shopping, and Seattle.

Quite a nice stay at the Hilton Bellevue during a Microsoft event. Try to have rooms at the 9th floor, they have a nicely presented breakfast and some food in the evening. Rooms are clean and nice, pretty standard. Somehow noisy due to the air-conditioning, but that is fine. Internet access is free and works ok. The lobby is ok. very nice system of parking outside the hotel.

We went in early July 2013 and the front (main) entrance was completely blocked off. It was very difficult to figure out where to park and how to get into the hotel and to the front desk. Despite all of the hassles, we had a good stay at this property on our recent family vacation to the Seattle area. It is somewhat difficult to locate this hotel. Recommend Pizzeria Guido for dinner while in Bellevue.

We've stayed at the Hilton Bellevue numerous times when on business in the area. The hotel is a bit dated with fairly dark (aside from the lobby) interior spaces and rather limited dining options. Definitely not a contemporary, urban vibe here. But while dated, I would NOT describe the hotel as at all "tired" on my recent stay. Carpets, draperies and other furnishings were all clean and reasonably new. Rooms are fairly spacious, although bathrooms a bit small and … well … I guess a bit dated. Wi-fi works well.

Location is next to I-405 so it's convenient for getting on and off the freeway, but you may want a room on the opposite side from the highway. It's also a moderate distance from central Bellevue, but still walkable to most of the restaurants around town. There is plenty of parking. Used to be free, but now gate-controlled and there is a fee.

The hotel is not one that I have ever personally selected (it has always been selected/paid for by someone else) and is certainly nothing particularly special, but it is a very serviceable hotel and I never mind staying there (especially if someone else is paying).

We used the Bellvue Hilton for our base while spending a week in Seattle-San Juans. The rooms were large and comfy, breakfast buffet was a bit pricey but very good. Cooked to order items along with a great array to suit any taste. We explained at the front desk that we would not be spending every night at the hotel that we had booked as we planned to go to the San Juan's for a night or two so the front desk waived the parking fee. We found the front desk very helpful with directions and recommendations. Housekeeping also was helpful. Great place to stay and only 10 minutes from downtown Seattle for a lot less $.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 6th floor or higher give you a great view of downtown Bellvue.

Business trip, traveling alone. Arrived at 7:30PM. The hotel is in a very nice area. Walking distance to a mall and restaurants. Very nice.

Check in was easy and fast.

The hotel has a 1970's architecture - you've seen this design on Hilton's before - but it is maintained *very* well. The lobby was very, very clean.

Don't knock 1970's architecture. There were a lot of clear thinking people designing buildings back then. For example...

The rooms all have mini-balconies, with *opening doors.* It was beautiful outside when I arrived, so I actually got fresh air in my room. The door has a screen, so - no bugs. When's the last time you got *that* in a hotel?

Here's another 1970's design feature: the room is large. Very large, even. In the 1970's, architects weren't thinking about mouse-sized rooms...

The A/C worked flawlessly. I set it for cooler and, voila, cold air coming out of the vents. Very nice.

The bathroom was well maintained and clean. Water-saver shower, but that's the rule these days - even in temperate rainforests like Seattle...

Room service was fast, the food was hot and tasty. The side salad was cold, crisp, and tasty. The beer was cold, local, and good. A burger, fries, salad, two beers, and two bottles of water: $52 with tip. That's about the norm, amazingly.

the two bottles of water were driven by: no refrigerator in room. No mini bar.

Nice coffee bar in the lobby. Also a sit down restaurant, which I didn't try but it looked good for a hotel restaurant.

Cell reception in my room was fantastic. Wi fi was there, but I didn't need it.

For sleeping: the bed was above average, the pillows were a bit large but not bad. The room could be made very dark (which I like), and - thank you 1970's - it was very quiet. The walls are thick.

LCD TV with typical menu system. Approx 30". Standard fare.

Good sized safe in the room (easily fits computers). Iron/board in the closet.

This hotel is clearly designed for travelers. As a traveler hotel it is very good. Two derailers that cost it the fifth star:

1. No mini bar. C'mon Hilton... really?
2. The exercise room was below average. Good treadmills and aerobic equipment, but really weak on the weight training equipment.

Great value for the $. I'd stay again, on business.

Room Tip: I was on the 6th floor and it was fine.

Upon arrival instead of being welcomed by the front desk personnel the lady who was behind the desk was rude, as if we were bothering her. When we finally got her attention she said we were too early and there was a fee for early check in of $ 10.00. I didn't mind paying the $10.00 but it was her attitude that almost made me want to pack up and want to leave. Being a Hilton Honors member I wasn't feeling valued at all! I later find out there is a fee for parking and for Wi-Fi which I was not aware of. At this point I asked to speak to a manager. The manager came out he was very nice and took care of the Internet fee. The rooms were outdated and the walls very thin, we could hear everything the people next door said and there were times we were woken up by them. I was very dissatisfied with this Hilton property and would never stay there again!

Room Tip: Top floors
