“Nice place for lunch”
Reviewed May 10, 2014

Cute little place for lunch. My bacon cheeseburger was delicious with a little sauce in it. Fries were homeade, but could have been crispier. BF's chicken strips were OK, his tots were nice and crispy.

“You’re on Vacation. Calm Down and Enjoy Yourself”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

This place is a wonderful step back in time. Simple country food served in a marvelously rustic, old-style country café. Because it’s only 2 miles north of where we were staying (Cabins at Beaver Creek), we ate here twice for diner, with a breakfast in-between. Each time we thought the food was great, the portions were huge, and the place was clean. During our Saturday morning breakfast, there was only one waitress on duty. She was … of mature years … and somewhat slow. Happily, we were in no rush. When we noticed some locals busing their own tables before leaving (taking the plates, etc, up to the bar), we asked them if that was expected. They explained that it was simply something friends did to help her out. Not wanting to be assuming, we didn’t bus our table. But, left a big tip! We thought this was a thoroughly enjoyable place to eat.

“I wish we had driven on by......”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

We stopped here while traveling to Quinalt for what we hoped would be a quick lunch. Bad mistake. We wished we had driven on to the town of Forks. We waited over 45 minutes for our order of a bowl of chili, a chili burger and a salad. There appeared to be only one cook that day and we were told later that there had been a large table before us. While we were waiting, there were only a few other tables occupied. The place is dirty and dingy inside. Our chairs were stained, silverware and glass had dried food on them (a pet peeve of mine). Service was friendly but haphazard. When our food arrived it was not good; poorly made, tasteless, we hurried and ate so we could get out of there. I rarely get frustrated while dining out, but I was very frustrated here. We had planned a few sightseeing stops that afternoon and our time was wasted at this restaurant. The waitress (without us requesting) took the salad and a drink off the bill, but what I really wanted was our time back. I will say that the prices are high for a restaurant of this quality. I suggested to the waitress that she be kind enough to warn other people in the future of such long waits since other tourists with places to go might be stopping in. She was not interested in hearing this. My suggestion is to drive on by; long wait, poor food, uneven service and an unclean restaurant does not make for a pleasant dining experience. This was the worst restaurant we experienced during our two week road trip!

“No Nonsense Food and Drink”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

Came upon this place after traveling from Seattle. It was in the middle of nowhere along 101. It looked nice, we were hungry... we stopped and had a wonderful meal comprised of local salmon cooked to order, a nice side salad, a burger well-done and a brew. The service was good. It was no nonsense food and drink. Portions were large requiring a takeaway box. We liked it.

“OMG Too much food!”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

The food is great and delicious but in supersized portions. Reastaurant is a bit dingy and need of a thorough cleaning. Nice service and pleasant folk.
