“Liked it so much, stayed twice”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Prior to moving to Bainbridge Island we made a number of trips but we stayed at the Eagle Harbor Inn twice. It is a small boutique inn that is quiet and perfectly located in town but away from the noise. We stayed in the Ferryboat Townhome with another couple and it was perfect. Two bedrooms each with queen bed, their own full bath, radiant heat floors and skylights. The rooms had TV's and very comfortable beds with high end linens. The main master room had a view of the harbor. There is a full kitchen, top of the line, in great condition. It has it's own elevator to the unit's enclosed garage. It has a wonderful patio outside the living area but we were there in February so a bit too chilly to be out. Our second stay was on our own and we stayed in the Port Blakely room on the first floor, again a perfect room but it does face the street. Not much traffic but if that's a consideration you should be aware of it. Standard rooms have parking spaces at the Inn. This room also had french doors to a patio facing the internal courtyard of the inn. Again the bed was very comfortable with high end linens. There is no front desk but you are given a code to access the inn and the room. It is very low key, a quaint and very BI style inn. You are walking distance to Pegasus coffee, Doc's Marina Grill, the Public House and all of downtown. It does not have a pool or fitness center but they did offer us day passes to the local fitness club again within walking distance in town. The owners are friendly, follow up and very helpful. If you consider another hotel on the island not right in town but in Winslow you will pay close to the same price and not have the charm, warmth, nice bath and ammenities or as comfortable of a bed as you will here.

Room Tip: Because it is a small inn, rooms are limited and book quickly so book early.

Easy to check in & out - self serve and key-less, coffee from Pegasus in the AM, free parking. GREAT location and charming room with everything you need; TV, magazines, a ceiling fan, the bathroom was big and room was decorated nicely and super comfortable. Low key and relaxing in the heart of Bainbridge, no hassle just relaxation. Walk to the water and the town with in blocks. This is the place to stay, I will be back :)

Room Tip: The website is great and has pictures of all the rooms.

Nestled into the waterside of downtown Winslow, it is a great location within walking distance of pubs, restaurants, shops and waterfront strolls. Lovely faux French Provincial decor, nice bed and bathroom. Fresh coffee served in the lobby in the morning. No staff or regular lobby. Given a password and a phone number when reserving. Needed some assistance and they were a quick call away. They give you passes to a nearby fitness center. Nice place.

Staying at Eagle Harbor Inn was a great choice. The Port Blakely room was beautiful and comfortable. The room has french doors leading to the courtyard for a nice view on one side and a view of the harbor from the windows on the other. The bath was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. A television and DVD were provided; however, I can't imagine staying in my room to watch TV when there is so much to see on the island. Its location was perfect. I was able to walk to restaurants, shops, and the ferry easily.

Coffee was provided in the lobby for guests every morning by Pegasus and it was delicious.

There seems to be limited sound proofing between guest rooms. I was able to hear conversations of the guests next door when I was in the bathroom and could hear the guest walking back and forth in the room above me.

Overall, I would absolutely stay at the Inn should I return.

Room Tip: Although I did not stay on the second floor or in one of the townhouses, I suspect that they might p...

We spent three nights at this perfect small hotel. We had the Harbor Suite and it had a charming nautical theme which was a good value; a large room with a leather coach to relax in. The bathroom had a vessel sink and granite counters and a fairly large refrigerator in the room to keep things cool. The coffee room offered cookies, coffee, tea and cold beverages all day long. Within two blocks we dined at 5 different places and within 3 short blocks to a supermarket to buy snacks in. The location couldn't be better; 1/2 block to the marina and waterfront trail, 2 short blocks to Winslow Way where all the shopping, cafes, bakeries and wine tasting shops. Even a movie theatre 2 blocks up Madison. Unusual in that as mentioned in other reviews, no keys, no check in; just walk right into your suite. Good restaurants close by was the Harbor Public House, Docs waterfront grill, and Nola Cafe. You won't be disappointed.

The Inn is in a great location, a short walk up to restaurants and shops on Winslow Way, and also really close to Pegasus Cafe and the Harbour Public House. We stayed in the Rockaway Beach room, which I'd definitely recommend. View of the water, super clean, spacious and comfortable. Was also nice and quiet as on the top floor. Great king size bed!

Liked having a code instead of a key, great way of doing things. Also, nice to not have to go through checking in and out. The wireless was complimentary and good.

Overall we had a great stay here. Would definitely stay there again.

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Eagle Harbor Inn. I spent several days there in June.

First, it is exceptionally clean - spotless, really. The patio, small entryway, and all parts of the room were immaculate during my stay.

The location is perfect. You're walking distance to everything in Winslow and right up the street from the best coffee (Pegasus). There is a nice view (albeit through a couple of buildings) of Eagle Harbor, and you can see ferries come and go.

I do not believe I saw another human during my entire stay and so cannot comment on the friendliness of the place. Not having to check in upon arrival was nice, and the place couldn't be easier to find.

I sometimes heard other people punching numbers on the keypad to get into other rooms but there were no real noise issues. Even having the windows open, the area is quiet enough.

I stayed in the Port Blakely room and, while it was nice, I found myself wishing for a closet and more light in the bathroom, particularly in the shower. There is an armoire to hang clothes, but I had trouble keeping the door closed because all but the tiny wire hangers are too wide. These few small issues were easily overlooked because the French doors opening onto a lovely patio were wonderful, the bed was reasonably comfortable, and the place has obviously benefitted from a lot of attention to detail.

I am really looking forward to going back and giving one of the townhouses a try!
