“Sweet Access to Waterfront”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2012

Bainbridge Island has a lot of public parks & open areas but not many have salt water access. Super views & sandy beach is great for lots of activities. Small camping area (this may be the only camping on Bainbridge Island). Note: you must obtain a "Discovery Pass" to use these facilities.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2012

View is great, sunsets, ships, sailboats, kayaks going by, Mt. Rainier, Baker, fog banks. Houses along a spit.
Camping: $21.first come, first serve, water only, one shower (no waiting). Bathrooms ok. Most camping spaces back against treed hill, fire ring w grate, not much privacy between. One handicap space (cement pad)
Kids: Playground, w benches for parents. Can wade on beach, older kids swimming. Logs to sit on..log forts. Horseshoes. No trails through woods.
Music performance during weeknight, exceptional bonus.

“Nice place to take a break”

Great place to stop and play on the beach with the kids or the dog. Good views of the sound bring a folding chair if you don't want to sit on a log.

“Great views on a clear day”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2012

We love a picnic at "Fay Bay" as we call it on Bainbridge Island. Stop at Town and Country Market and pick up some delicious goodies from the deli and head out to the park. Sit on the big washed up logs and have your picnic and then beachcomb on the long beach with views of Seattle and Mount Ranier when the skies are clear.
