“Stunningly beautiful, warm and welcoming”
Reviewed May 6, 2012

The amazing restoration of this historic home, with attention to detail in every corner is incredible . Patti and Bernie spared no expense (in money, blood, sweat and tears), pouring their hearts and souls into creating a beautiful and welcoming home with impressive furnishings and rich textures which relax your spirit and delight body and soul. How lucky we are that they chose to share their home with all of us! Original clawfoot soaking tubs, multi head and steam showers, luxurious bedding, and impressive furnishings and art distinctive to each gorgeous guestroom await as your personal space. If you need an extra romantic and private stay they also have a separate cottage in the gardens behind the mansion. A great wedding and honeymoon choice - they even have a Romeo balcony. All of the shared places: a charming sunroom, ladies and gentlemen's parlors, a bright and cheery sitting room, porch and balcony with seating and swings that invite you to curl up with your loved one and share a book from the wonderful selection found throughout the home, beckon to you. Or perhaps you can enjoy a game of chess in the parlor or a catch a movie the in home theater with surround sound and plush leather reclining seats. And the breakfasts? Every course is absolutely delicious, served with a smile, on beautiful china under a stunning crystal chandelier. Such attention is payed to detail to make sure your stay is perfect that each morning on the table you will even find the day's weather forcast so you can dress and plan your activities accordingly. Patti and Bernie are such warm and wonderful people that when you come back to stay again (which you definitely want to do) you will feel like you are visiting very dear friends. Take the time to talk with them if you can - they can share wonderful stories and history with you. They also care so much about people they will help you plan wonderful things during your stay - like tickets to the local dinner theater. You will be so happy you chose to stay here and so sad that you have to leave!

We know that there is no better place for us to stay between Ohio and South Carolina. Please add us to the list of regulars guests that travel north and south on I-77 once or twice a year. We felt like we had stepped back in time but kept those comforts we expect and enjoy in expensive motels in the cities. The host and hostess had had a wedding on the premises the day we arrived yet they seemed relaxed and so accomodating to our needs, as if we were their only guest. Plan enough time to enjoy the sitting rooms and the library. The chandeliers are spectacular! We had the room with the largest bath, and it was absolutely amazing. (I don't usually get excited about bathrooms!) Breakfast was beautiful and delicious.

Room Tip: You may want to choose your room by the room size, the fireplace you prefer, or by the accomodations...

While traveling with friends I had the wonderful experience of a two day stay at the Trinkle Mansion. The mansion is beautiful and charming. The home reflects its' rich past yet is wonderfully comfortable with modern immenities as deluxe baths in each room. I stayed in the beautiful Wilder Room and slept restfully in the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in away from home. The attention to every detail for a wonderful stay is second to none. Patti's 3 course breakfasts are absolutley delicious, guaranteed to satisfy the most discerning palate. Patti and Bernie are delightful hosts and so knowlegeable on the history of the home and the area. The area is beautiful and there is so much to see and enjoy. Two days was not enough time to see and do it all, it is so rich in history. I definitely plan to return and would recommend the Trinkle Mansion for a relaxing, enjoyable stay! Thank you Patti and Bernie for making our stay such a memorable time.

What a fantastic trip. The Trinkle Mansion is beautiful and filled with such history. Patti and Bernie went out of their way to make this a wonderful experience. We spent 3 nights and planned on seeing some of the local sites. Their suggestions on what to see exceeded our expectations. From visiting Mt Airy (NC), touring local winerys to hiking around Walker Mountain. The breakfast was amazing as well as filling and the room was very comfortable. They truly seem to love what they are doing and it showed in every aspect of our visit. We would definetly visit again.

We only stayed here one night and one night is NOT enough. We just loved the place. Everything about it was great especially the owners. The room was great. The breakfast was the best breakfast that we have ever had. We were traveling with another couple to Nashville and this was our half way point. We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: They are all great

What a wonderful experience. From the moment you arrive you will experience the elegance and beauty of the Trinkle Mansion. Patti and Bernie are the most gracious hosts and take so much pride in the property. The breakfasts are the most delicious in a warm in inviting atmosphere. The gentlemens parlor was very relaxing. This is definitely a must see place. You will not be disappointed. There is so much to do in the area, and the scenery is beautiful.

First class all the way! Beds are very comfortable for a good nights sleep. Patti is an excellent cook and the service Bernie provides is top notch. I would highly recommend staying here for a relaxing time with wonderful hosts. Mansion has been restored with all the modern day conveniences but without altering the charm of time period for which it was built. Will definately stay there next time in the area.
