“Great stay in the Valley!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 23, 2011

Clean rooms, great hot breakfast, indoor pool and jacuzzi. Excellent and helpful staff. Great location central to many caverns and ski venues (Bryce). Town of Woodstock very quaint with old/renewed shops. Great family hotel, great priced rooms.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Woodstock the night of December 10th. We were returning home from a visit with friends in North Carolina and Woodstock is about halfway to our home in New Jersey. This Hampton Inn is a modern beautifully furnished hotel with large rooms and bathrooms, quiet, and with very comfortable beds. The staff are pleasant, the breakfast was typical of Hamptons everywhere. The hotel offers free WiFi in the room and also has a business center. The price was reasonable but of course early December is definiely off-season. I would heartily recommend this Hampton Inn to anyone traveling on I81 in Virginia..

Room Tip: We chose the king bed room which comes with a leather sofa, a large leather ottoman and a large scre...

I spent a nice weekend visiting the mountains this fall and chose this property largely based on reviews (and price). Even though it was a bit of a drive from some of the attractions I wanted to see, I was looking to spend time driving seeing the fall colors and didn't mind the distance. The town of Woodstock is charming with some good local restaurants - I can recommend Paisano's next to the Walmart. The property and staff lived up to expectations - they took care of my room requests and everything was clean and comfortable. The morning breakfast was better than many hotels that offer it. The lobby area was comfortable and while I didn't bring my swimsuit, the pool/spa/fitness center area looked nice as well.

My only downside was that my neighbors sure seemed to flush their toilet a lot, including very early in the morning, and the toilets have some power to them. It always startled me to hear it because it was otherwise pretty quiet. Whenever you guys look to replace the toilets, I hope you'll consider a quieter model!

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the highway.

My husband and I stayed there for one day. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There is coffee, tea, and hot water in the lobby 24 hours. We checked into the hotel very late (1:00 AM) along with relatives who were staying overnight in 2 other rooms. Our room had 2 beds. The room was very clean.
The beds had white bedspreads and were spotless. The entire room was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was served until 10:00 AM and there was a nice variety of food to choose from. There was a waffle iron available also. Very nice breakfast room. No complaints from anyone in the family.

Room Tip: Had some trouble finding the entrance to the hotel. The sign was small, but very close to the Holid...

The hard part is finding the place. The sign out at the road looks like it's about 10" x 12". The Hampton's tucked behind a Holiday Inn Express, so turn in at their sign.
This is a relatively new hotel (about 2 years old). Clean and attractive. One of the two elevators was non-functional while we were there, which was OK for most of the day, but in the AM when you're trying to check out you had to compete for space with the cleaning carts.

We had a room with a king size bed on the side away from I-81 so it was quiet. The mattress was "high isolation", meaning your partner's movements are not transmitted through the mattress to you. All rooms have mini-fridges, microwaves, wired internet and wi-fi. Staff is helpful and familiar with the area.

I listed the location as average, but that depends - it's right next to the interstate exit, so if you're stopping there on your way elsewhere, the location is excellent. But if you're going to stay in the area for a few days, the main part of town is a couple of miles away. Within easy walking distance, you have a Walmart, a CVS, and several restaurants and gas stations.

Breakfast provides you with a lot of choice. Overall, better than most motel/continental breakfasts. A variety of fruits, cereals, pastries an toast. There's also 3 kinds of coffee: dark roast, light roast, and decaf. They have a couple of waffle irons so you can make fresh waffles, and a rotating menu of hot dishes. The sausage gravy and biscuits were good, as were the breakfast sausages. The prefab omelets and the hard-boiled eggs were OK. Avoid the scrambled eggs. Scrambled eggs don't keep well on a warming table even under the best of conditions, and these seemed to me to be made from powdered eggs.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends and family, and will stay there again next time I'm in the area.

Room Tip: Ask for a "parking lot side" room
