Not much more to say... except it did get busy. Recommend you arrive before noon on a weekend. The lot wasn't full, but the trail itself was crowded by early afternoon.

Wasn't expecting such a hike but well worth the trek. The falls are beautiful and the scenery spectacular. Saw our first rattlesnake - exciting.

most cars in the parking lot had VA plates but this scenic pleasure should be shared with many. Not well signposted so it was a local, our son, who took us. Great ride to the Falls from Blue Ridge Parkway, and back to Charlottesville via Wintergreen. He had scaled the Falls earlier this year and let his elderly parents just admire the Falls from the bottom vantage point. They are good but of course compared with Waterfalls in countries like Austria.Switzerland/New Zealand, the force of water is modest. Butterflies, and verdant fauna added to pleasure. No sanitiser in the basic restrooms is a health hazard.

I climbed the 1.7 mile trail that follows Crabtree Falls in Lyndhurst Va. What an incredible trail! It is physically challenging and spiritually rewarding!! From the top the world seems so small and the thunder of the falls is majestic!

Unbelieveable views of the waterfalls along trail climbing up and up the mountain. 1.7 miles of hiking to the top (end)
