Had a great time at this location. Booked a 3 bedroom and was given a second floor unit that fit us extremely well. Note that there are no elevators at this property. However, the rooms are large, and the property seems to be well-maintained. The kitchen/dining area in the one bedroom is small, but we used the dining area in the two bedroom unit (they're joined together through a small hallway with doors on both ends) that had a full dining room table and larger kitchen.
The property has a great activity center, with two game rooms with free video games/pool table, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, fire pit, etc. Restaurants and shops are in the immediate vicinity with a KMart right next door (not 24 hours) and a 24 hour Walmart a few miles away. Also extremely close to Colonial Williamsburg (they told us 20 minutes for some reason but it was actually about 6-7). Had some great meals in the area as well - try Food For Thought for dinner (be prepared to wait).
The only downside, if you can call it that, was the sales presentation. We elected to do it because they sold us 4 CW multi-day tickets for the cost of one ($150 savings), but were told we would be out of there by 10 a.m. (started at 8:45), that they had a good catered breakfast, and that it wasnt a hard sell presentation and we could just fill out a survey and go if we werent interested. None of that was true however. The breakfast was awful, the presentation was over 90 minutes no matter how hard we tried to get out of there, and every time we tried to fill out the survey and leave they sent us another level of sales person to go through. They dont even let you out of their sight once you are assigned a sales person, with them leaving the room with you if you have to go out of the room for some reason. Be advised they hold a credit card in case you dont show up so they can charge you for the cost of whatever tickets you are getting from them. Still, it was probably worth the $150 savings but you have to be annoying to them if you really want to get out of there, otherwise you're there for a good 2 hours or more with no escape.
If, however, you arent doing the presentation, you should have no real complaints. We had an enjoyable time outside the sales presentation and would stay here again minus that.
We had a really good time. My large family had 2 apartments that were connected, which was a really good thing. The only minor issues we had were that in one of the units the microwave did not work and in one of the units the toaster shorted out. Being that we were in adjacent apartments it was not that big a deal. The apartments were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The front desk was very pleasant. I would definitely stay there again.
We loved everything about this condo. The location was great. It was far enough off the main road to make it feel secluded but it was close enough to everything that nothing was a long drive. We loved the connected units. We put 4 teenagers in the smaller unit and gave them their privacy. Two adults and a younger child were in the larger unit with the full kitchen and a nice balcony. The living area with the television was very spacious and the unit was super clean. Everything we needed was provided including linens, towels, kitchen accessories, laundry detergent, dish soap, etc.
The resort is great. There is so much to do. When we weren't off doing something, the kids were able to play tennis, go to the arcade, play mini-golf or go in the pool. We were in the building that is probably the furthest from the rec center but it was still an easy walk. There are picnic tables and grills in between the buildings and plenty of open space for the kids to play ball.
We were not pressured at all into attending a timeshare presentation. The man who gave us our parking pass politely invited us to attend but didn't push back when we told him we weren't interested. My deposit that was collected at check-in was promptly refunded. Everyone at the resort was super friendly and we definitely plan to go back again.
Nice place we staff was great. We were sick most of our stay but not their fault. Wish we could have enjoyed more of our stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our 3bd suite. We were able to have our families together in a side by side unit and adjoining doors. The kids were able to play together and we each had our own kitchens. Each room had it's own bathroom, which was nice. The best part the kids loved was the on site arcade and video rooms. It's one of the best places we've stayed in Williamsburg.
