“Great for quick midweek meal or Sunday Brunch.”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

Good home cooking for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Reasonable prices. Sunday Brunch is fabulous for $14.95 - all that you would normally expect and more! Lots of Southern dishes to choose from. Owner, Moe, is very entertaining and greets each guest most days. Moderate wine list, good cocktails and beers. Clean establishment with fresh flowers on the table. Fantastic fried oysters. We dine there about once every ten days or so. Convenient location. Friendly staff, good service.

“Excellent Waffles and eggs”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

We continue to go to this restaurant because breakfast is served until 2PM every day, and because the food is consistently good. The service is friendly and the food comes quickly. We want to try their Sunday Brunch because they have a custom-made pan omelet station.

“Very good for breakfast.”
Reviewed June 9, 2013

We moved to Williamsburg about 8 months ago and keep looking for the perfect place for breakfast (missing a perfect place we left behind in Virginia Beach). Jimmy's is pretty good, but not quite perfect. We did discover that Williamsburg's answer to feeding America is a unbelievable number of pancake houses. You have to really search for other types of breakfast places.

Jimmy's Sunday breakfast menu offers your choice of set meals for $7.50 - period -- no sides, no small portions (the weekday menu offers some $3.99 menu items - but not on Sunday). We would have preferred a smaller portion of some of the offerings (e.g., two eggs instead of the 3 offered). Most of the breakfast offerings are omelets. My wife and I ended up splitting one of the omelets. (no extra charge for splitting). The omelet was great - and offered with real hash browns - which are hard to find in Williamsburg.

At 9:00 a.m. on Sunday morning the place was not crowded and had a local crowd - didn't note any tourists. The ambiance was good - mostly booths, bright, and clean. The waitress was great and service quick. The food was up quickly and served hot. The music was C&W and, while a bit louder than I would have liked, not too bad.

The only downside, other than the lack of choice on the menu, was a filthy knife, which the waitress cheerfully exchanged with a clean one. I note that another reviewer also had a problem with dirty silverware. I think Jimmy's might review how the silverware is cleaned. Sometimes just tossing it into the dishwasher doesn't hack it.

I rated Jimmy's only 4 stars on "Value" mostly due to being forced to select a $7.50 menu item, when we would have preferred something a little smaller - but as noted above, there was no problem is splitting a menu item..

“Sunday brunch buffet was delicious - a great value.”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

For the unbelievable price of $14.95, there was a prime rib carving station, omelette s made to order, and a great selection of other items. Also a wonderful dessert station with Crete brûlée, bread pudding with rum sauce, and chocolate decadence. If only every day were Sunday!

“The Sunday Brunch is Awesome”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

$14.95 with great food everywhere. The prime rib is fork tender and every thing from the salads to dessert is very good. I wanted to try everything but there was just to much. There's a lot on talent and passion for food in the kitchen at Jimmy's and the front of the house service is excellent. For quality, service and value, this is one of the very best eateries in Williamsburg. Can't wait to try the Friday night Seafood Buffet.
