Our weekend was lovely for our first anniversary. Quiet, comfortable and very romantic. Our room was large and romantically furnished, breakfast was delicious and afternoons in the sunroom were very relaxing. Thanks to our hosts for making our stay memorable.

Clean, friendly atmosphere for a great weekend experience close to Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown. The room was cozy and inviting, while the food was magnificently delicious! Don't forget to spend an end to your evening sipping fine Virginia wine while relaxing in their back porch. Ideally located to all of the areas major tourist attractions finding your way around town is as simple as can be.

My wife and I celebrated our ten year anniversary there and we were very impressed. The people who run the B & B are to be complimented. It almost was if they had a hand in the weather department as well. When we stayed there in July, the highs were only in the mid-80s. We stayed in the Azaelea Room and it was extremely nice. We had everything that we could ask for and more. If you go to Williamsburg, stay there and ask for the package deal and you will love the outcome.

My husband & I won a stay at this B&B from his command. Unfortunately it was only for 1 night!!! We really enjoyed our stay. The house itself was very warm & inviting. Breakfast was wonderful! And Karen was very sweet & helpful.

Our stay was overall beyond wonderful!!! We look forward to being able to visit again.

This was our first experience staying at a Bed & Breakfast. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and given a tour of the beautiful property! The inn is magnificently decorated; however, it is also very comfortable! Our suite was lovely, and we loved our private sitting area, as well as our four-poster bed (which was so high off the ground that we needed a step stool to get in and out!!!!). Breakfast each morning was fantastic and we really enjoyed extra time spent visiting with the innkeeper over coffee! She helped us make dinner reservations and provided suggestions anytime we asked! We would highly recommend this inn as the place to stay in Willimasburg and hope to return there sometime in the future. What a great first B&B experience!

I recently joined the "trip advisor" community, which is why this review is a little late.
Our first stay at "Colonial Gardens" was over Christmas of last year. I was trying to find a hotel suite w/ a kitchen, when my husband discovered "Colonial" via the internet. He had looked at many B&B's but Karen and Ron were hosting a true Christmas holiday in their home. Karen told us that reservations and tickets go fast for the taverns and the events at Kimball Theatre in Colonial Williamsburg. We were asked our food preferences and what events we would like to attend and Karen bought us tickets for our desired events and made reservations for local restaurants and taverns. I've never had a B&B owner go that much out of their way to make sure we were not disappointed in our visit.

Karen and her helper Margaret decorated each room for the holidays, including our own Christmas tree( which was especially nice on Christmas morning). I had brought filled stockings to hang on the fireplace mantel(which each room has), and bought a toy for both my husband and daughter, to put beneath the tree. The house smelled and exemplified the Christmas season in every nook and cranny.

Our sweet hostess, hosted a Christmas Eve beverage and appetizer gathering, cooked a flavor-loaded Christmas morning brunch, and a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings and extras. I was so amazed and blessed at how much effort she put into making our Christmas away from home a fun and eminently satisfying event.

All of the guests joined in for Christmas day game playing and assorted merriments. We learned a new game called "Celebrity" from the young couple that hailed from D.C. Even our hostess joined in some of the games. We all felt like one big familyl Our hostess had snacks, beverages, and sweets available for us to munch on, all day long. Before all of the guests departed we agreed that we had spent the brightest, merriest, and most relaxed Christmas ever. We all hoped that we would be able to duplicate the experience another time.

My family and i knew that if we returned to the area we would again stay at " Colonial Gardens". We returned this past spring and had another wonderful and pleasurable experience , and i am happy to say we are returning in October for yet another visit. We have always been made to feel welcome and wanted each time.
Thank you Karen and Ron for opening your home and hearts to all of us!

Springtime in Williamsburg is spectaular and a stay at the Colonial Gardens Bed and Breakfast makes it even more special. This B and B is conveniently located to everything. A short drive to historic Williamsburg and its sights. It is not far from excellent restaurants. Karen, the owner-hostess, is so warm and welcoming. Her breakfasts are special (each day a different menu) and served with lovely china and silver. The accommodations were very comfortable and elegant. We had one of the nicest short vacations that we have taken in a long time. Highly recommend!!
