My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Windham's Kingsgate. The gated community and landscaping was very well kept. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and always available if needed. The condo was clean, spacious and fully furnished. Everything we needed during our stay was provided. The owner Steve was extremely friendly, accommodating and a pleasure to work with.
The location is very close to Colonial Williamsburg as well as all the other attractions Williamsburg has to offer.
We will definitely return next year for our Anniversary! The pricing is very reasonable. If you are looking for a nice place to stay for your next visit to Williamsburg, this is it! I highly recommend Wyndham's Kingsgate to anyone who wants to experience the feeling of being "home" while away from home.
We were there to sleep and shower. We found it to be clean and great for our day tripping. Didn't realize weren't getting the owners actual unit but it was fine as we were told all the units the same. Disappointed hot tub out of service whole time. Owner Steve was very helpful.
We spent 5 days in Williamsburg and had a wonderful stay in the condominium. Plenty of room for us and our grand children. The condo was an easy drive to Colonial Williamsburg and close to shopping and reataurants. We loved it!
The condo was a very comfortable clean condo. It has everything you need for a weeks stay. The resort has everything that you could want, including miniature golf, pools, exercise and game rooms as well as a nice selection of movies. The location was perfect for taking in all of the Williamsburg sites and attractions. It is just minutes to Colonial Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown. It was a pleasure to deal with Steve, the owner of the condo. He provided us with all of the information that we needed and followed up with us after our vacation to make sure everything was okay with our stay. I would definitely recommend this resort.
The location of the unit is close to some many attractions - Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, Jamestown, Yorktown, and many more. The close proximity afforded our family the chance to visit multiple attractions in the same day.
We were skeptical at first of the great deal that we found at Kingsgate, because we thought it was too good to be true. Well, we were way off on our first impression. The whole stay was very enjoyable.
Check in was a breeze and everything that Steve promised was correct. There is a lot to do at Kingsgate even if you never left the grounds. The owner was very helpful in providing advice on checking in, nearby attractions, and local restaurants. He made our trip all that more enjoyable.
I would recommend this rental to friends and strangers.
Our stay was great from the start. Check in was quick & easy. We were sent to the 2nd desk for out parking pass, though the rep was easy going and didn't push the timeshare meeting. We politely declined and were never asked again.
The condo was fantastic. Full kitchen with everything we needed, formal dining room, 2 bedrooms with king beds in each that were super comfy & pillows were full. There is a stacking washer/dryer so we went home with clean clothes. We were in one on the last building in resort and originally were disappointed, though it quickly changed to an plus because we got the third floor (yes it is a walk up) with the deck facing the trees. I completely enjoyed our morning coffee & breakfast on the deck in the treetops. Our condo was very quiet and barely heard our neighbors. My daughter rated it as one of the best places we have stayed at.
The location of the resort is perfect, because we are just off Richmond Road with all the restaurants, 15 mins from Jamestown in one direction, 20 mins from Yorktown in the other direction and Colonial Williamsburg in maybe 5 mins away. Busch Gardens in 20 mins away.
The $6 per condo daily activity fee is well worth it because there is a 18 hole mini golf course, basketball courts, 3 pools (2 outdoor, 1 indoor) a whirlpool, a gas fire pit, Family movie theatre, 2 game rooms with pinball machines and arcade games that do not require money and free dvd/blue ray rentals. You are not lacking for things to do if the weather is not perfect
The downside: towels are not very soft, yet are thick and while the master bath has a huge tiled shower, it feels cramped due to configuration.
Steve, the owner of condo is great and gives a lot of info through emails to make sure our stay is perfect. We will be going back to Williamsburg again & will definitely reach out to Steve again
Accommodations were perfect for what we were looking for in a place to stay near Williamsburg on a short stay. It met all our needs for two couples and our daughter. We would definitely recommend and would have loved to have taken more advantage of the pool.
