“Dinner and a Show”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

You've got to do this if you have an evening to spare in Williamsburg. The chef/owner is a CIA trained chef. Each course is prepared as you watch. Detailed explanations of the food prep are given. The atmosphere if lighthearted and jovial. Seating is lecture hall style. Wine is served with each course (typically 5). Hints in ingredient choice are offered. A complete recipe for each course is included with the meal. Great for couples or small groups. Not for kids. The room seats about 35. Great fun and a great show.

“Just can't say how enjoyable this experience is!”
Reviewed August 22, 2013

Everything is wonderful...from the patrons, the chef, the atmosphere....
The food is "out of sight" good! We are older folks and have eaten all over the world and this place is up there. I promise you will not be disappointed! First Class all the way..friendly, informative and just plain fun. I promise. We try to go to the Williamsburg restaurant for my birthday every year.. can't wait to be a year older...just to go again!!! :)

“Unbelievable Meal and Experience”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

Unbelievably great meal. The meal is prepared in front of you by professional chefs that explain how to cook the meal as they prepare it. The chefs presents the meal in a manner that was very entertaining and Instructional. In addition, each serving was paired with wine. Book early and plan early. We booked our reservations months in advance for our (adult) daughter's birthday. FYI, our daughter thought this was one of her best birthdays. Would recommend this as a location for that special occasion, i.e. anniversary, etc.

“A Must Do -- One of a Kind Experience”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

My husband and I have been to the Chef's Kitchen twice and LOVED it. You learn about your meal but you also learn about cooking basics. The price is great ($85/person) for a five course meal with 4 delicious wine pairings, no wine upcharge here. AND you can buy a lot of the ingredients in the store (including the $10 wines). It's not pretentious either, just a couple of chefs who know a lot food. The only drawback is that you have to book at least a month in advance.

“Fun and Good Food”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

This is fantastic because you get to meet other couples interested in cooking. They opened with piano player and champagne and allowed the guests to move about and meet each other. There were no children there when I attended. A coat and tie are not required but people dress nicely. There are many courses and a different wine for each. It is worth the $85.00 per person. We arrived at 6:30 p.m. and left at 9:30 p.m. so be prepared to spend some time there because they cook each item while you watch. The staff is wonderfully entertaining and the food was unique and delicious. They only take 25 or 26 persons per night so reservations are a must. It is stadium type seating so you can see the chef preparing the dishes, similar to the Chew or Emeril on TV. They also have cameras and TV so you can observe his preparation.
