Hampton Inn & Suites Williamsburg Historic District

We stayed here the week of June 1. The check-in at 5pm on a Saturday was effortless and immediate. The hotel was not very busy at all, but it seemed the entire town was less than capacity as well.

We got a King Suite on the 3rd floor near the end of the hall. The room was huge and was more than enough room for 2 people. The 3rd floor was quiet and we couldn't hear any noise from any neighbors. It was up to the normal quality of a Hampton Inn, but there was no wi-fi...only ethernet corded internet in the rooms.

The location is not far from all the action spots in town and was very easy to get to. Perfect for getting to historic spots and not that far from Busch Gardens.

Only complaints, if any, was the room never seemed to get cold enough for us. There was a small stain on the carpet near the bathroom vanity. There was a spider in our bathroom on the second night. The breakfast is ok, but sometimes you just want more than a biscuit and gravy. Check out the countless pancake houses all over town for a breakfast fix.

We stayed at this hotel for four nights during a recent vacation. I can't say enough about the great service we had! The staff that works the breakfast area is terrific, making sure we had everything we needed. The cleaning staff also went out of their way to make sure our room was OK. The hotel was very clean. I liked the fact that it was off the main road and very quiet. Great access to Williamsburg and he highway for other nearby attractions.

We usually try to stay at Hampton Inns on our weekend getaways because of the affordable rooms and complimentary breakfast. (How can you beat that?) Our family of six reserved two rooms at this Hampton Inn on May 22. When making our reservation online, we requested adjacent rooms and were pleased to find our rooms were directly across the hall from each other. We checked in around 9pm to a friendly greeting and quick service. The rooms were clean and spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. It was great having the mini-fridge in the room! This was the Friday of Memorial Day weekend, and we expected to hear a lot of traffic and kids running throughout the hotel's hallways, but we heard very little noise. The hotel is located off the main tourist roads and the rooms did not face the street. We heard a few children during the night, but any noise came through the room's door and not from the adjoining rooms.

In the morning, we ate our complimentary breakfast in their spacious living room. The staff was extremely friendly and greeted everyone with a "good morning". Although there were a lot of people enjoying breakfast that morning, the staff did a fantastic job of restocking the food and rearranging the tables/chairs to accommodate everyone. You can't beat the Hampton breakfast - warm egg/cheese/bacon bagels, fruit, cereal, pastries, yogurt, juice, coffee!

This was a friendly hotel where they really tried to make their guess feel comfortable and welcome. Based on the location, staff, rooms, and breakfast, we would definitely stay here again! Thanks to the entire staff at this Hampton for doing a great job!

Hampton Inn & Suites exceeded our expectations. We were treated very nicely by all who work at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool and jacuzzi were great. Complimentary breakfast was quite good. We will look for this name when travelling again.

It's hard to say enough good things about this hotel. The location is great -- a bit away from the noise and traffic of the commercial areas, but close enough that everything is a pretty short drive away. The facilities are modern, with a nice (albeit small) pool, whirlpool, and gym area. The breakfast is a good value, with enough variety -- cereal, bagels, biscuits, toast, fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, and a different hot dish every day -- that everyone should be able to find something. The rooms are comfortable, although a bit on the small side. The price is also great.

As you might expect, this combination attracts huge crowds. We came over Easter week, and it seemed like every room had a family with two or three children. But the staff was immensely friendly, and kept everything moving efficiently even at the busiest times of the day.

I stayed with family for 2 nights. We had king suite room. We enjoyed pool and internet. Breakfast was adequate but there were hardly any room to sit. The hotel is short drive away from visitor center of Colonial Williamsburg. Busch Gardens is not too far either.
Check in and check out was very easy and smooth. I would stay there again.

OK HOTEL / BAD CHECK IN
I really don't get the raving reviews for this hotel on tripadvisor . I guess it is nice for a 2 star hotel or if you are used to staying at a lower end chains but it is certainly nothing memorable. The location is close to colonial williamsburg but that is true of almost every hotel in the area.
The front desk staff was verging on incompetent upon check in. Apparently our room had been given to someone else. The girl took about 20 minutes before she figured out how to get us a non-smoking king room and only figured it out when I suggested she give us the room that was reserved for another guest who had actually been given our room. Anyways upon arriving in the room somebody had ovbiously smoked in the room
as the maid had bombed it with so much air freshener it started to trigger an asthma attack for me. Went back down to the front desk to either leave the hotel or get a room I could breathe in. Another person was now at check in who actually knew what they were doing and accomodated us with a room I could breathe in[although it was not a King} The hotel and rooms are
what you would expect for this type of property and the rest of our stay was pleasant.
