Owner description: Bruton Parish Church is open daily to visitors with or without a Colonial Williamsburg admission ticket. A donation of one dollar per person is gratefully accepted to go toward upkeep of the church and churchyard. This is the third building in the history of Bruton Parish, in continuous use since 1715. All are welcome to attend a brief service of noonday prayer during the week, and Sunday services, held at 7:30, 9:15, and 11:15 am and 5:30 pm. Bruton Parish Church is an active congregation of the Episcopal Church, therefore we close for tours during weddings, funerals or scheduled services.

History surrounds you, as does the history of the USA! You can read the name plaques on the back of the church pews--just like a history review! The cemetery is peaceful and is quite pretty in the Spring.

Loved the organ concert and sitting in pews where the Founding Fathers worshipped. Like the gift shop too. Staff are nice - wonderful volunteers.

If they have one scheduled, please go! Artists are from the college, very talented. It was very peaceful to sit in this beautiful old church and listen to music performed on period instruments.

Our tour guide was a parishioner of the church who was very knowledgeable. She explained the history of the church and how the current active congregation differs. She did this without trying to sway anyone's own beliefs. It's a beautiful church and it's amazing to walk in the graveyard and see all the old headstones. There is no fee but donations are accepted. We also enjoyed going to their parish gift shop where the proceeds are used to support the church.
