Ate here the other day while visiting Jamestown Settlement. It was ok, I had the turkey sandwich and got chips and a fountain soda to go with it. Tasted pretty good, wish they had had a better selection of food. Price wasn't that great for what I got though.

This tourist cafe was amazing - particularly for a historic site that caters to a lot of kits. It was not your usual hot dogs and soda. We had really delicious brunswick stew and bread pudding with a wonderful fruit sauce. The salad was also good. I just found the stew recipe online and am going to try to make it myself.

The Jamestown Settlement Café is right on the property at the Jamestown Settlement area. It shares a lobby with the ticket area and so it is very convenient for a lunch break when touring Jamestown. Being a café at a tourist site, you would expect the prices to be relatively high and they were right up there. The food itself was reasonable. My kids had the adult size cheeseburger and they were of very decent size. They were well prepared and tasted ok. I got the beer-battered fish poboy and was pretty disappointed. It looked like 3 poor pieces of fish that were deep fried and thrown into a bun which was (very) lightly grilled. I ended up just eating the fish pieces as if they were chicken strips and dipping them in ketchup and mustard. My wife got the chicken strips. They were pretty big and decent tasting. Again, use lots of barbeque sauce and ketchup.

The café is convenient. You don’t necessarily want to spend time driving up and down the road looking for a place to eat. It’s slightly overpriced and the food is hit or miss. It is a decent café, but it is just a café, so your expectations should be set accordingly.
